About this project
What does iTowny add?
🏘️ TownMod
Cities, roles, economy, law, and order — everything your server needs in one mod.
TownMod transforms survival into a living story of cities: establish settlements, build a hierarchy of leadership, protect your territory, develop your economy, and catch criminals — all without a single third-party plugin.
✨ Key Features
🏛️ Cities & Roles
Five levels of authority — Mayor → Deputy Mayor → Senior Officer → Officer → Resident. Invitations can be accepted with a single click on a button directly in chat. Full city statistics include the founding date, membership, and each resident's last online time.
🗺️ Territory
Claim chunks with a configurable limit that increases with population. Use a visual territory map to claim land with a single click. Protect your territory from outsiders and configure flexible flags for explosions, mob spawning, PvP, and access to switches.
💰 Unlimited Economy
Any item from any installed mod can be used as city currency — all configurable in a single config file. Each city has its own treasury, while every player has a separate personal wallet. You can designate a specific chunk as a bank — opening up the possibility of robbing it: a timer, alerts sent to the city's guards, and a chance to escape or get caught.
🏠 Personal Plots
The mayor can sell or give an individual chunk to a resident, granting them personal property within the city.
🚨 Law & Order
A wanted and prison system: officers can put criminals on the wanted list, and captured criminals serve prison sentences. Every city's police can access a player's ID card and criminal record. A guest status (visa) allows temporary visitors to enter a city.
🔬 Research & City Storage
Every city progresses through a technology tree with four branches: economy, territory, law enforcement, and infrastructure. The final branch unlocks a shared city warehouse — a real storage system with 9, 27, or 54 slots, accessible to all residents.
💬 Communication
Global, local, and trade chat, private messages, and a private city chat — switch channels to communicate exclusively with your fellow residents.
🌍 9 Languages Out of the Box
Russian, Ukrainian, English, Italian, Polish, Spanish, Japanese, German, and French — every player can change their language using a command, independently of everyone else.
⚡ Convenient Access
GUI menus and a GUI territory map for all major actions, plus the short /t command instead of /town.
⚙️ Requirements
Minecraft 1.21.1
NeoForge 21.1.234 or newer
🔧 Configuration
All economic parameters — currency, prices, limits, and tax periods — can be configured in config/townmod-server.toml without touching the code.
📋 Commands
Find the full list of commands and permissions using /town menu directly in the game, or consult the documentation on the mod's repository page.
🗺️ Future Plans
The next major updates will introduce city alliances (nations) with their own technology trees, wars, and sieges. Stay tuned for updates!
