About this project

What does Imperial Adventures add?

Imperial

Imperial is a mod originally created to play with friends on El Imperio, our Minecraft server. Its goal is to expand different parts of the game with new systems, mechanics, and content while keeping an experience that still feels integrated with Minecraft, but offers much more to discover and do.

The mod is divided into several major systems, ranging from complete overhauls of fishing and horses to exclusive systems designed around the history, economy, and lore of El Imperio.

🎣 Reinvented Fishing

Imperial completely transforms Minecraft's traditional fishing system.

Instead of being limited to the original mechanics, fishing now features a simple and dynamic minigame designed to make every catch more engaging.

The system includes:

More than 300 new fish species.

Different rarity tiers, from one to seven stars.

Fish exclusive to specific locations and biomes.

Different types of fishing hooks.

New artifacts and upgrades for fishing rods.

A fish encyclopedia that fills up as you discover new species.

A system designed to encourage exploration and collecting.

A brand-new minigame for catching fish.

Fishing is also a real way to make a living. Wandering fishmongers buy your catch, take special orders with a deadline, and an old sage will tell you where a missing species hides, for a price. Everything is paid in Imperials, the server's currency, and a truly rare fish can be worth more than 100,000.

Finding every species will not simply be a matter of fishing for hours in the same spot. Exploring the world, using the right equipment, and learning where each species can be found are all part of the experience.

🐎 Completely Overhauled Horses

Horses have also received an almost complete redesign.

Imperial expands their appearance, statistics, progression, equipment, taming, and breeding.

New Horses

Horses can feature:

New coats and appearances.

Breed-based variants.

Variants associated with different biomes.

Greater visual variety between individual horses.

Optional advanced animations for both the horse and its rider.

Training

Horses can improve their abilities through training.

Their main attributes include:

Speed

Jump

Stamina

This makes it possible to breed and train horses specialized for different purposes.

Players can also use a whip to temporarily push a horse to run faster, giving stamina a meaningful role in both riding and training.

Equipment

The traditional horse equipment system has been expanded with:

A new saddle system.

A new horse armor system.

Different options for customizing and improving each mount.

Taming

Taming a horse is no longer just a matter of repeatedly mounting it.

Imperial introduces a new taming minigame, making the process of obtaining a new horse much more interactive.

Breeding

Horse breeding has also been redesigned, giving it a much greater role in progression and in the development of strong bloodlines.

Souls and Rituals

When a tamed horse dies, it leaves its soul behind. At a Soul Altar, players can choose one of eight dark rituals to bring it back as an undead horse: zombie, mummy, drowned, skeleton, wither, and more. Some of them even glow in the dark.

Carts

Horses can now pull real carts: an animal cart that carries two passengers and a supply cart that works like a chest on wheels. A horse pulling a cart is noticeably slower, as if it were really making an effort, and it is too tired to be whipped.

🏇 Racetrack and Casino

Imperial adds a complete betting scene, all played with Imperials.

The Racetrack

Players can build their own race tracks anywhere in the world, with checkpoints, a finish line, and betting machines. Five horses race with live odds, and every race tells a different story: dominant wins, comebacks, leaders who run out of breath, and photo finishes.

The Casino

Slot machines, blackjack against a croupier, a 3D European roulette table, and Argentine Truco, a traditional card game, which can be played against a friend or against the house.

👑 Imperial Utilities

Imperial Utilities is the most unique and complex module within Imperial.

Unlike the rest of the mod, this section is designed specifically to work within El Imperio, making use of its lore, inside jokes, organization, and its own economy.

It includes a variety of systems and items that turn the server into something closer to a persistent world with its own businesses, wealth, jobs, music, and special tools.

💿 Turntable and Music

Imperial Utilities completely reimagines Minecraft's classic jukebox through a new system inspired by a vinyl turntable.

When music is played, the vinyl record is physically visible on top of the player and spins in real time while the track is playing, making the system far more visual than the traditional jukebox. A portable turntable can even ride on the back of your horse.

The vinyl records mainly contain:

Songs and audio related to memes.

Tracks connected to the lore of El Imperio.

Music and references related to players on the server.

Special content created specifically for our community.

Vinyl records are not limited to playing music.

They can also be used as decorative items, including the ability to hang and display them, allowing players to create collections, music rooms, or spaces dedicated to the history of the server.

💰 The Economy of El Imperio

Imperial Utilities also introduces a complete internal economy system built around the Imperial, the official currency of El Imperio.

Players can generate and manage fictional wealth within the server, creating an economy of their own that is integrated with different Minecraft mechanics.

One of its main features allows players to claim villagers.

Once a villager has been claimed, its trades can become part of that player's economic activity, allowing villagers to be incorporated into businesses and trading systems.

Players can also:

Create companies.

Claim villagers and make use of their trades.

Generate and manage fictional money.

Create different sources of income.

Accumulate wealth within El Imperio.

Build businesses and economic structures around the server's mechanics.

The economy also has its own institutions: a money changer, the Central Bank treasurer who handles seizures, and a loan shark from the Bank of Córdoba who lends huge amounts with sky-high interest... and starts locking slots of your inventory if you don't pay him back.

This system is designed to allow players to compete, collaborate, trade, and develop businesses within the world.

The Imperial Utilities economy is one of the largest and most complex systems in the mod, but also one of the most specific. It is primarily designed to function within El Imperio and is deeply connected to the way we play on our server.

🛠️ Villager Jobs

Inspired by the side missions of GTA San Andreas, some villagers offer jobs that pay in Imperials. Each job is a chain of increasingly difficult and better-paid missions; fail one and you start over, but whatever you earned is yours.

The Watchman: stop riots across the provinces of El Imperio against the clock.

The Courier: deliver parcels, animals, and loaded carts to other provinces, and defend your cargo from vandals along the way.

The Palfreyman: carry passengers on the back of your horse. Give them a smooth ride and they will leave a good tip, along with plenty of questionable small talk.

🗣️ Living Villagers

Villagers now chat with the player, have their own personalities, and know which province of El Imperio they live in. Some of them hide mysteries that can be unlocked by talking to the right people.

🛡️ The Imperial Wardrobe

A huge collection of armor, weapons, and tools, from medieval sets to animated 3D pieces, all browsable from a single wardrobe screen.

👑 The King's Staff

Among the special items included in Imperial Utilities is the King's Staff, an item intended primarily for the kings of El Imperio.

The staff works as an administrative tool that combines different functions and commands into a single item.

Instead of constantly having to type commands manually, many actions can be performed directly through the staff, making server administration more convenient and better integrated into the game itself. It can even close Nether portals to mobs, and portals can be dyed in any color.

✨ And Much More

A web screen that hangs on a wall and shows a web page that everyone can see, the vocal cord shears to silence a noisy mob for good, and many other small details waiting to be discovered.

Imperial began as a project to improve our experience playing together, but over time it grew into a collection of complete systems.

Fishing and discovering hundreds of species, breeding horses, training them and developing strong bloodlines, betting on races, working for the villagers, collecting vinyl records, creating companies, accumulating wealth, or simply discovering the quirks of Imperial Utilities are all part of an experience built around our own world.

Some features are designed to work in any Minecraft playthrough.

Others will probably only make sense if you were ever part of El Imperio.

And that is exactly the point.

Welcome to Imperial.
