About this project

What does AOSO BIOMES add?

AOSO: Biomes of the Realm

25 new lands for the Overworld, the Nether and the End. Made for AOSO, and it also runs on its own.

New lands grow in new chunks, so you can add the mod to a world you already have.

The Overworld

  • Maple Woods

  • Palm Oasis, in the deserts

  • Willow Marsh

  • Cedar Highlands

  • Wildbloom Meadow

  • Starfall Glade, where the stars of Gandi came down

  • Crownwood Grove of the old kings

  • Rift Scar, torn open by the Korz

  • Tidepool Shore

  • Lantern Hollow

  • Geyser Basin

Wonders of the Overworld

  • Skyreach Isles: islands float over the hills, and their springs fall to the land below.

  • Elder Wilds: colossal trees hung with lanterns, and great red mushrooms.

  • Frostspire Peaks:mountains crowned with spires of ice.

  • Scarlet Canyons:banded red hoodoos.

  • Cascade Heights:green cliffs streaming with waterfalls.

  • Glimmer Caverns: deep under the mountains, lit by blue crystal.

The Nether

  • Ember Reach: glowing ash and cinderstone spires.

  • Sulfur Springs:yellow crystal and venting geysers.

  • Wailing Grove:soulwood trees and ghost moss.

  • Bloodvein Hollow: veinrock, bone arches and bloodcaps.

The End

  • Starlit Grove: voidbloom trees on astral turf.

  • Crystal Expanse: spires of void crystal.

  • Aurora Fields: fields of glowing moss.

  • Shattered Reach: floating isles and shard spikes.

Eight new woods

Maple, palm, willow, cedar, crownwood and starwood in the Overworld, soulwood in the Nether and voidbloom in the End.

Each wood has its full set: logs, wood, planks, stairs, slabs, fences and gates, doors and trapdoors, buttons and pressure plates, signs and hanging signs, boats and chest boats, leaves and saplings. On Minecraft 26.3, shelves too.

And more

  • New flowers, cattails, lanterncaps, star shards and seashells.

  • New stone: riftstone, sinter, cinderstone and veinrock.

  • Geysers that throw you into the sky.

Works with

  • AOSO: the lands of its saga, in your world.

  • AOSO: Structures of the Realm: many of its places appear in these lands.

Everything is new and original: the lands, the trees, the blocks and their textures.
