About this project
What does PokeAbilities add?
!!! Features
- 138 abilities across six rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Negative.
- Ability slots: one free slot, three unlockable pairs and an extra free slot. Each pair needs a negative ability to work, unless you use a double-edged one, so every build is a trade-off.
- Active abilities with their own keys: summon rain, harsh sunlight, hail or a sandstorm, intimidate your enemies, or reveal the abilities of nearby mobs.
- Terrains: Electric, Grassy, Psychic and Misty Terrain, with animated glowing ground and their own combat effects.
- Local storms: Snow Warning and Sand Stream create a hailstorm or sandstorm that looks like a huge cloud from outside. Inside, visibility drops and everyone outdoors takes light damage. Hail even covers the ground with snow.
- Status conditions: Burn, Paralysis, Freeze, Sleep and Toxic, with icons above affected mobs, immunities, reflections and abilities that feed on them. Lava, powder snow, witches, pufferfish and many more can inflict them too.
- Berries: six berries that cure status conditions. Find their bushes around the world, plant them and harvest them.
- Stat stages from -6 to +6, just like the games: Attack, Sp. Atk, Defense, Sp. Def and Speed.
- 58 mobs with abilities: zombies with Stench, skeletons with Sniper, creepers with Static, wolves with Intimidate... Hidden abilities are rarer. Bosses have two.
- 12 legendary abilities, such as Shadow Tag, Hadron Engine, Orichalcum Pulse, Primordial Sea and Magic Guard, each tied to a boss or a dangerous structure.
- MobDex: scan and defeat mobs to discover their abilities and the capsules they drop.
- Guide book and advancements: an in-game guide with a searchable catalog of every ability, and 24 advancements with rewards.
!!! Getting capsules
- Themed structure chests, mob drops, fishing and archaeology.
- Crafting recipes for common and uncommon capsules, unlocked when you find each one.
- Villager and wandering trader trades.
- Combine two capsules of the same rarity into a Mystery Capsule.
!!! Configuration
- Per world:
- disable any ability
- change slot costs
- allow multiple legendaries
- toggle storm damage, hail snow, boss second abilities, berry bushes and more
- Per player: move and resize every HUD element, and adjust screen effects, storm particles and status icons.
!!! Compatibility
- Jade: see a mob's ability and status, and berry bush growth.
- JEI and EMI: info pages for every capsule, berry and item.
!!! Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge 21.1.0 or newer.
