Stand Balance (JCraft Addon)
Configure damage and cooldown percentages for registered JCraft Stands in /jconfig. Unofficial Forge addon.
Quick answer
Which Stand Balance (JCraft Addon) release should I use?
Stand Balance (JCraft Addon) 0.1.1 (Fabric) targets 1.20.1 with Fabric. The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both. 1 required mod needs a matching file.
Where it goes
Is Stand Balance (JCraft Addon) required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does Stand Balance (JCraft Addon) 0.1.1 (Fabric) need?
Stand Balance (JCraft Addon) 0.1.1 (Fabric). Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install JCraft: Eyes of Ender (JoJo), Fabric API, Architectury API, Cloth Config API (Fabric/Forge/NeoForge) and 4 more first, but 1 required mod has no matching file for this setup. Do not mix loader builds to force a match. 7 come through another mod in the chain.
7 extra mods were pulled in by other dependencies. Indented rows show who needs each one. We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does Stand Balance (JCraft Addon) add?
Stand Balance (JCraft Addon) adds a damage percentage and a cooldown percentage for each registered Stand in JCraft: Eyes of Ender. Configure them from /jconfig, for example to halve Star Platinum's damage or shorten Killer Queen's cooldowns.
How to use it
- Open
/jconfigwith permission to edit JCraft's server settings. - Open the Stand Balance tab and expand a Stand's group.
- Set Damage (%) and Cooldown (%), then save.
Both options use whole percentages from 0 to 500, with 100 as the default. For covered attacks and cooldowns, 50 means half, 200 means double, and 0 removes damage or cooldown respectively. Cooldowns are truncated to whole ticks. These are additional per-Stand factors; JCraft's own calculations still apply.
The options use JCraft's configuration system, with no separate Stand Balance TOML file. Registered addon Stands receive options too; this does not guarantee coverage of custom addon attacks. English and Spanish translations are included.
What is scaled
- Damage passing through JCraft's
Attacks.damageandAttacks.trueDamage. Projectiles resolve their owner's current Stand, including an equipped Stand that is not summoned. - Direct damage from Cream's void, D4C's counterattack, The Sun's heat, Aerosmith's bullet heat and Whitesnake's acid. Bullet heat always uses Aerosmith's percentage; D4C and acid resolve the damage source owner's current Stand.
- Sheer Heart Attack remembers its creator's Stand when its master is first assigned, saves that identity in entity NBT and uses it during its explosion, even after the owner changes Stands.
- Server-side cooldowns in the STAND category, except slots recognized as time stop cooldowns. King Crimson's Time Erase cancellation does not apply the Stand Balance factor twice.
What is not scaled, and limitations
- Damage tagged with JCraft's
SPECdamage type and Hamon waves. This is not a blanket exclusion of all Spec projectiles: other projectiles can still scale if they resolve a Stand and pass through the hooked damage methods. - Knives without lightning, including knives thrown by a Stand. Any knife with its lightning flag set can scale, not only Divine Finisher knives.
- SPEC and UNIVERSAL category cooldowns. Time stop cooldown slots are excluded when the move is recognized as JCraft's
AbstractTimeStopMove; custom addon implementations have not been verified. Move animations and time stop duration are not adjusted by this addon. - Damage outside the hooked methods and the direct-damage cases listed above is not covered. Registering an addon Stand alone does not make every custom damage path scale.
Compatibility and installation
- Minecraft 1.20.1, Java 17, on Forge 47.4 or newer or Fabric Loader 0.17 or newer with Fabric API.
- Required: JCraft: Eyes of Ender 0.18.2–0.18.x (
[0.18.2,0.19)). This is the declared dependency range, not proof that every version has been tested. - Install on both the server and clients for the full configuration workflow: scaling runs on the server, while the configuration screen has client code. Whether a client without the addon can join a server with it is not verified. Dependency
side="BOTH"alone does not establish a network requirement. - Keep JCraft's own required dependencies installed. The configuration screen references Cloth Config; this addon's source does not establish JCraft's complete dependency list.
Verification and reporting
ESTADO.md records development dedicated-server tests and a development client configuration-screen check. The dedicated selftest measured health lost at 100% and 50%: Cream's void 1.5 / 0.75, The Sun's direct heat 1.5 / 0.75, and Whitesnake's acid 2.0 / 1.0. These measurements cover the direct hit, not later fire or poison ticks. The selftest passes on both Forge and Fabric development servers. Addon Stand tooltips and addon time stops remain unverified.
The addon modifies JCraft classes through Mixins and a Mixin plugin that inserts calls into Attacks.damage and Attacks.trueDamage. Changes to the hooked methods can cause loading failures or leave damage unscaled. Report problems with this addon here first.
