About this project
What does Carbide: Modern Engineering add?
Carbide: Materials science
Changelog (1.1.0):
Fixed textures for entropic sword/multitool, now the colors match perfectly with the armor!
Added Steel and Aluminum sets to give more uses, along with respective decorative blocks*
*Note: Some elements won't get armor sets/decorative blocks due to how insanely rare they are, or if they are liquids/gases that cannot form solids, because I personally think that the materials are used enough in the alloys involved(but this might change soon!)
This mod is constantly being updated, but currently it adds:
25 elements from the periodic table
7 new sets of armor and tools total, along with:
1 unobtainable creative set that is a little overpowered, along with 2 respective OP items(also uncraftable).
20+ new ores in the Overworld, Nether, and End!
P.S. these armor sets are all made of real materials!
Notes: Rarest ores give off slight glow because they are hard enough to obatain anyway (Osmium, Rhodium, Iridium, and Ruthenium)
If it looks ugly, don't worry! I'm definitely fixing/updating textures in the future.
Use Attributefix if you want 4,096 total armor points of creative armor to have a difference from the vanilla cap of 30(Still invinceable anyways either way though)
Plans for next update: Decorative blocks(current blocks are all ores) and at least 2 unique crafting stations, along with balancing for current gear+Better textures.
Distant future update plans: add radioactive elements with their respective uses(like nukes and reactors to power crafting stations), improved textures for armor(with blockbench) and potentially: GUNS! (also modeling on blockbench probably)
Armor sets(better images soon)
Advanced alloy(Right): A bit better than netherite, provides fire resistance. Made of Cemented Tungsten carbide and Grade 5 Titanium alloy
Superalloy(left): A step above Advanced alloy, Gives resistance 2 when in cold biomes(One of the ingredients gets stronger in cold). Made of Maraging steel c350 and Cobalt-Chromium-Nickel alloy(CrCoNi)

Exosuit(Right): Provides worst armor(About as good as leather) but gives increaced strength and speed, and is a crafting component in the entropic armor. (Made of lots of different things but mostly circuit boards and carbon steel)
Entropic armor(Left): Provides best armor currently.(reaches vannila max armor cap of 30, and toughness cap of 20, which can't be surpassed without potion effects, commands, or extra mods) Set bonus: All benefits of exosuit but also gives fire resistance and resistance 4. (A bit overpowered, may be balanced soon)

Neutron degenerate matter: Creative only armor that gives over 1,000+ armor and toughness per piece. (Kind of for show, as the extra 4,000 armor over the max cap of 30 and 20 won't benefit unless attribute fix is installted) Set bonus: Every positive effect in the game multiplied with level 256, exept for a few(speed 20 so you can move around without constantly hitting walls), Flight, and inability to take damage. Made of nuclear pasta from inside a neutron star (About 10^18 or a billion billion times stronger than steel, and yes, scientists actually named it "nuclear pasta")
