About this project
What does Create: OneBlock add?
ONE BLOCK ODYSSEY — One island. One block. Infinite adventure.
You know the classic One Block challenge? This is that — but as a real mod, not a map. You spawn on a small round island in the middle of the ocean with a single block in the center. Every time you break the block, something new appears. The block never runs out, and the island moves through different phases, each with its own loot, mobs and surprises. A bossbar shows your current phase and progress, and every phase change is announced with a sound and a title on screen.
FEATURES
- self-regenerating block — break it forever
- 13 themed phases with unique loot
- after the End phase it loops back to Forests — endless play
- bonus chests with rare loot: diamonds, zinc, gold, iron, copper
- animals spawn next to the block in the Farm phase
- hostile mobs in the Underground phase — no creepers
- custom world type "One Block Island" — pick it next to Default / Superflat / Amplified
- multiplayer-friendly: progress belongs to the island, not to one player
- Create-friendly: andesite, zinc and more
THE 13 PHASES
- Tutorial (200 blocks) — dirt, gravel, sand, small starter chests. Ends with two water buckets.
- Forests (500) — every overworld wood type and saplings.
- Farm (500) — animals spawn next to the block, seeds and crops.
- Underground (1000) — stone, ores, hostile mobs (no creepers), one-time chest with lava.
- Ocean — fish, kelp and treasure from the deep.
- Jungle — jungle wood, cocoa and green loot.
- Tundra — snow, ice and cold-weather rewards.
- Create (1000) — tons of andesite and items to start automating.
- Deepslate (1000) — deepslate and cave ores.
- Archaeology — dig up the past, ancient surprises included.
- Nether (500) — netherrack, rare netherite, 10 chests each with obsidian.
- Magic — mystical loot for arcane setups.
- End (200) — endstone and 12 chests with end portal frames. Then the loop returns to Forests.
WORLD GENERATION
When creating a new world, open More World Options and select "One Block Island". You spawn on a round island with the One Block in the middle. No commands, no setup.
MULTIPLAYER
Progress is saved in the world, not per player. Every break counts once, the bossbar is shared, and friends joining later spawn on the island. Works on dedicated servers and with claim mods like FTB Chunks.
GETTING STARTED
- Install NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1
- Put the jar in your mods folder (client and server)
- Create a world with the "One Block Island" world type
- Break the block. Again. And again.
PLANNED
- themed phases for popular mods (Twilight Forest, Farmer's Delight and more)
- more surprises for late-game loops
