About this project

What does Slash Protection add?

Slash Protection

Protect your base, share access with friends, and give land a price that fits your server.

Slash Protection adds command-based land claiming, configurable economies, permission-based limits, and temporary glowstone borders.

Buy your first claim

Stand where you want the center of your claim and use:

/land buy 10

This purchases a 10×10 area, protecting all 100 horizontal blocks across the dimension's full height.

By default, land costs 1 emerald per block of area, so a 10×10 claim costs 100 emeralds. Server owners can change the currency and prices.

Use /land cost 10 to check the price before buying.

Build safely and invite friends

Inside a claim, only its owner and trusted players can build and access containers by default.

  • Invite a friend with /land trust <player>.
  • Remove access with /land untrust <player>.
  • Trusted players can build and use containers, but cannot manage ownership, trust lists, or claim settings.
  • Claims cannot overlap.

Protection covers supported interactions involving blocks, containers, entities, explosions, fire, fluids, pistons, and hoppers.

See your borders

Buying or expanding land displays a temporary glowstone outline. Use /land show whenever you want to see it again.

The outline lasts 30 seconds by default. It is a visual preview: it does not replace real blocks, drop items, or produce actual light.

Expand as your base grows

Use /land expand <blocks> to extend every side of your current claim.

For example, /land expand 1 turns a 10×10 claim into 12×12. You pay only for the 44 additional blocks, without paying the base purchase fee again.

Commands

Command Action
/land buy <size> Buy a square claim centered on your position.
/land cost <size> Preview its area and price.
/land info View the current claim's owner, boundaries, trusted players, and flags.
/land list List your claims.
/land show Display the temporary glowstone border.
/land trust <player> Give someone building and container access.
/land untrust <player> Remove their access.
/land flag <flag> <true/false> Change a claim rule.
/land expand <blocks> Expand each side of your claim.
/land disband Remove protection while preserving the actual builds.
/land help Display command help.

Disbanding a claim does not automatically refund its purchase price.

Customize your claim rules

Claim flags control public interaction, PvP, explosions, fire, fluids, pistons, hopper automation, mob changes, and natural block changes.

For example:

/land flag pvp true

/land flag public-use true

Public interaction allows visitors to use blocks and containers without granting building permission.

Choose your economy

  • Item currency: Charge a configurable vanilla or modded item. Emeralds are the default.
  • Vault: Connect to an active economy provider on a compatible Bukkit-based hybrid server with Vault installed.
  • Free claims: Explicitly disable payment.
  • Custom integrations: Other mods can register an economy provider through the public integration API.

Vault support requires the Bukkit/Vault environment. Installing Vault alone does not provide an economy on a standard Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge server.

Configure your server

Settings are stored in:

config/slash-protection.properties

Configure currency, base prices, price per block, minimum and maximum claim sizes, claim counts, total owned area, command permissions, and permission-based limit profiles.

Bukkit and LuckPerms permissions are consulted when their APIs are available. UUID-based permission grants can also be configured directly.

Administrators can reload settings with /land admin reload. Operators do not automatically bypass claims; bypass must be explicitly enabled.

Installation and compatibility

Separate builds cover selected Minecraft versions from 1.7.10 through 26.3, with Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge availability depending on the version.

Install one JAR matching your exact Minecraft version and loader. Fabric API is not required.
