About this project
What does stashdisk add?
Stash Disks
Portable storage disks that carry their items with them, linked by a thin glowing cable network with terminals, autocrafting, buses and patterns.
Inspired by Applied Energistics 2 and Refined Storage, but built differently: the disk itself is the storage. Fill it, put it in your pocket, hand it to a friend or drop it in a chest. Nothing is ever lost when you break a block.
Runs on NeoForge, Forge, Fabric and Quilt for Minecraft 26.1 to 26.3. Available in English and German; the game language picks it automatically.
Features
Disks you can carry
Four tiers: Pebble, Hoard, Vault and Abyss Disk, from 4,096 up to 2,097,152 items.
Right-click to open a disk anywhere: take, store and sort items.
Sneak + right-click a chest, barrel or hopper and the disk swallows everything inside.
Vacuum mode sorts matching items from your inventory into the disk on its own.
Bucket pool: full buckets are stored as fluid, and the empty bucket stays in the disk.
One cable for everything
A single thin cable carries items and power. No controller and no channels, and cables never tick.
Straight runs are seamless; junctions get a node, machines get a flange.
Four glowing, animated data channels run along every cable.
Terminals in the AE2 / RS style
Storage Terminal: search, scroll and sort every shelf in the network at once.
Crafting Terminal with a built-in workbench: a 3×3 grid that refills itself from the network and works with every recipe, including modded ones.
Grid tools: clear into the network or your inventory, rotate the recipe, choose where crafted items go, and craft ×1 / ×16 / ×64.
Pattern Terminal: write machine recipes into patterns.
AE2-like settings:
sort by amount, name or mod, up or down
show everything, only stored items or only craftable items
search modes: manual, auto-focus, JEI-synced
remember the last search
@mod search
Autocrafting
The Fabricator keeps stock levels ("always keep 64 sticks") and works through orders, including multi-step chains (log → planks → sticks).
Pattern Providers feed machines from any mod, such as furnaces, crushers and alloy smelters, and bring the results back into the network.
Order dialog with any amount, plus a Crafting Monitor with progress bars.
Machines and parts
Import / Export Bus with filters. They work with vanilla inventories and with the item APIs of every loader, so they also feed modded machines.
Storage Monitor, Terminal Panel, Network Interface, Energy Port (takes FE / Forge Energy / Team Reborn Energy from any mod), Combustion Dynamo and Solar Panel.
Wireless Terminal and Blueprint Wand: copy an area and rebuild it anywhere, using materials from your inventory, disks or the network.
Light silver 3D machines with animated lights. The Fabricator is a press with a glowing die.
JEI integration (optional)
EMI and REI load JEI plugins too.
The "+" button fills the crafting grid from the network and your inventory, and missing items are marked in red. In pattern mode it writes any recipe, including machine recipes, into the pattern grid.
Drag items from JEI into the pattern grid.
R / U work on the items in the terminal.
The terminal search can follow JEI's search.
The mod runs fine without JEI. It is not a dependency.
Performance
Cables and shelves never tick; networks are only rescanned when something changes.
Disk contents are cached, so a full hotbar of disks costs nothing.
Buses, generators and the Fabricator work in steps, not every tick.
Compatibility
Tested with real machines from other mods, including multi-step autocrafting chains through modded crushers, furnaces, alloy smelters and 3D printers.
Energy from other mods is accepted through the Energy Port.
Credits
All textures, models and GUI drawings are original work, generated by the mod's own tools. No files from Applied Energistics 2 or Refined Storage were copied or edited; only the general ideas were used.
