Hollow Hours turns Minecraft into a hardcore survival-horror experience. Ghosts roam your world, they know where you live, and they will not stop until they find you.
👁 The Hunters
5 ghosts, each with its own story, behavior and kill cinematic: The Wailing Dweller, Sunken Widow, Ashen Screamer, Smiling Void and The Antlered Hunger
3 stalkers: The Lanky One, Pale Child and The Veil
Hardcore jumpscares, a sniffing and searching AI, knocking at doors and windows, and random events like blackouts and sudden cold
🏚 Survive
Hide in a closet or under a bed, and hold your breath
Barricade doors and windows with wood, stone or iron boards. Stronger ghosts break through weaker boards
Repair cracked doors and glass with repair kits
Flashlight and batteries, but light leaks out when you hide
Sprint with a stamina bar (double-tap sneak)
Blood Moon nights bring more ghosts, and they are stronger
💬 Talk to the Dead
Chat with the ghosts in Thai or English: beg, ask, insult them
Works out of the box with the built-in ghost brain, no setup needed
Ask a ghost for any item, but half the time it comes cursed (40+ unique curses)
A ghost may offer you a deal: sell out a friend to survive, or refuse and die
🤖 Optional: Real AI Ghosts
Want ghosts that understand any sentence and answer in their own words? You can plug in your own AI. No AI key is included with the mod, so you bring your own.
Launch the game once so the config file is created.
Open config/hollowhours-common.toml.
Set your provider and paste your key into apiKey.
Restart the game or server.
Supported providers: Gemini (free key at aistudio.google.com), OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, Groq, Ollama (local), or any OpenAI-compatible URL.
⚠ Keep your API key secret and never share your config file. If you leave the key empty, the mod uses the built-in ghost brain.
🧠 Soul, Sanity & Graves
A soul system: the more it drains, the weaker you get and the faster your gear rots. Sleep to recover
Sanity and thirst, restored by a phone with games, music, pets, friends and sleep
A phone with Messages, Snake, Ghost Tap and Health apps, plus a charger and an emergency-alert intro
Calming blocks: swing, slide, trampoline, basketball hoop, football goal, arcade machine and TV
A grave system: your items go into a grave when you die. Find it with the Grave Compass, or bring it back with the Grave Restorer
