About this project
What does Blessed & Possessed add?
Blessed & Possessed!
This mod adds a variety of holy and angelic themed content to the game, allowing players to live out their cleric or paladin fantasies. To get started, craft an altar, the block that serves as the crafting station for this mod. From there, you'll be able to craft various consumables, armors, tools, prayer scrolls, and items, as well as enlist the aid of angels to assist you in combat or protect your villages and builds from monsters. Some recipes and rituals will require a resource called Virtue to craft, and to obtain Virtue you'll need to craft a Reliquary, which will accrue virtue as you perform good deeds like trading with villagers, breeding animals, taming mobs, and slaying monsters.

Features
Armors
To aid in aquiring virtue, you can craft two sets of armor, both of which will increase your virtue gain while worn. The Cleric set will increase the amount of healing you receive, including your passive health regeneration, as well as empowering most prayer scrolls and the seven items based on the heavenly virtues. The Paladin set will provide a bonus to your maximum health, in addition to being slightly superior to iron armor defensively. Legend tells there are two superior versions of these armors, available to those that have completed the ultimate challenge of this mod…

Mobs
When you have a sufficient amount of virtue, you'll be able to request the aid of angelic mobs to assist you. Each of these mobs has their own strengths and weaknesses, and will allow you to form your own customizable RPG party. The Cherub is a primarily supportive unit that focuses mostly on healing and buffing you and your allies in combat. The Power is a defensive tank that can stand against legions of monsters with its trusty spear. Finally, the Ophanim can take on enemies at range with beams of holy light from its eye and from on high.
Additionally, two golem-like angels can be summoned that will not actively follow you, but will patrol areas and defend them against monsters. The Angel will do so with beams of holy light and supportive magic. The Principality takes a more hands on approach with its blade.

Lastly, using divine power, you can resurrect two long extinct holy beasts from a bygone age. The Behemoth is a massive gentle giant, unless you happen to be a monster. It also exudes an aura of peace, causing nearby animals to become pacified and not attack each other if they normally would. The Clergic is a smaller tameable theropod which will spray holy venom at foes, inflicting a debilitating effect and a health drain over time. It can be tamed by feeding it raw chicken.

Prayers
This mod also adds a small spellcasting system in the form of prayer scrolls and an item called the Codex Principia. At an altar, various scrolls can be crafted that will allow you to have an instant effect on the world, such as growing nearby crops and breeding animals, healing you and your allies, or changing the weather. Prayers do not require any resource to cast, but their scrolls have a set durability. By inserting prayers into a Codex Principia by using them with the codex in your other hand, you can cast the prayers infinitely, but at the cost of virtue. Stored prayers can be cycled by shift-using the codex.
Boss
Lastly, this mod adds an ultimate challenge in the form of a boss known as The Adversary, a formidable challenge that will test your ability to react to a variety of situations and levels of aggression. To challenge The Adversary, craft a Forsaken Effigy at an altar, and interact with it.

Compatibility
