TSP: Universal Space

An addon for Tizio’s Space Project that takes you beyond the solar system, to real nearby stars and their real planets.

TSP: Universal Space adds 777 real star systems built from real astronomical data: alots of landable planets and alots of gas and ice giants you can see in the sky. Sol also gets extra moons and Eris and Pluto.

Features

• Real systems, real data. Alpha Centauri, Proxima, Barnard’s Star, Tau Ceti, TRAPPIST-1, Gliese 581, Kepler-186, 55 Cancri, HD 219134 and dozens more. Orbits, periods, planet sizes and surface gravity are scaled from published data.
• Planet type from real temperature. Each planet’s equilibrium temperature decides whether it is lava, hot, desert, temperate, ocean, cold or ice. Temperate and ocean worlds have breathable air.
• Binary and triple stars. Sirius, Procyon, Castor, Algol, Fomalhaut, Kepler-16, Kepler-47 and 17 more, with companion stars orbiting the main sun like planets. Circumbinary worlds are included.
• Gas giants in the sky. Systems with known gas giants (55 Cancri, Gliese 876, Gamma Cephei and others) show them as sky-only planets, like TSP’s Jupiter and Saturn.
• Custom surfaces for every planet. Each landable world has its own surface and stone blocks, drawn in the TSP style with per-type detail.
• Detailed worldgen. Every planet has its own biome, debris, rocks, craters and giant crater structures, as on the Moon and Mars.
• Pixelated textures for all planets, with a real cloud layer where the atmosphere calls for it.

How to travel

Run /function tsp_europa:go/<system> (for example alpha_centauri, trappist_1, tau_ceti) to go to that system’s space, then fly to any planet.

Notes

Companion stars are visual spheres, not real light sources. Only the main star lights a system.
