Parasitic Bees
This Bee Variant Spreads like a virus
Quick answer
Which Parasitic Bees release should I use?
Parasitic Bees 1.0.0 targets 26.2 with Fabric. Do not install it on the client. It must be installed on the dedicated server. All 1 required mods have matching files.
Where it goes
Is Parasitic Bees required on the client, server, or both?
Do not install it on the client. It must be installed on the dedicated server.
This file is marked server-only.
What else does Parasitic Bees 1.0.0 need?
1.0.0. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Fabric API first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup.
We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does Parasitic Bees add?
Parasitic Bees adds hostile infected bees, three infected Overworld biomes, blightiron armor, and brewing recipes for masking, containing, infecting, and luring swarms.
Works on Fabric Coming Soon ---> Forge, and NeoForge
Bees
Four strains, one entity type. They attack players, villagers, and animals, chew their diet blocks, and spread nests.
| Strain | Nest | Where | Sting / extras |
|---|---|---|---|
| Moss | Moss Bee Nest | Overworld | Poison. Sometimes leaves hive infection. Eats leaves, dirt, grass, overworld wood. |
| Crimson | Crimson Bee Nest | Nether (crimson areas) | Wither damage. Can set you on fire(10% Chance). Eats crimson stems / nylium / nether wart. |
| Warped | Warped Bee Nest | Nether (warped areas) | Wither damage. Can add nausea and weakness(10% Chance). Eats warped stems / nylium / wart. Fights crimson bees. |
| Void | Void Bee Nest | End | Dragon-breath damage. Teleports. Can levitate you or blink you a few blocks. Eats stone / end stone. |
Wild nests guard their area. Splash Hive Containment to pacify them for farming. Breaking a nest without Silk Touch dumps angry bees.
Honey bottles
| Honey | Effect |
|---|---|
| Infected Honey | Clears poison, then short hunger + pheromone masking |
| Crimson Honey | Fire resistance, then hunger |
| Warped Honey | Speed, then nausea |
| Void Honey | Slow falling + invisibility, then weakness |
Any infected honey crafts Infected Sugar (shapeless, 3 sugar).
Biomes
| Biome | What you’ll find |
|---|---|
| Infected Grove | Edge of the outbreak. Blightiron ore. Pink trees, infected moths, early labs. |
| Infected Woods | Main infected forest. Blightiron ore. Roaming parasitic bees. Infected villages and abandoned apiary cottages. Infected plants hurt you unless you have blightiron / cured blightiron boots. |
| Infected Core | Darker, denser bees and moths. Blightiron ore. Hive Queen dungeon under a sinkhole. A Core Compass points to the nearest core. Craft the compass with Infected Honeycomb to skip to a farther one. /locate biome parasiticbees:infected_core also works. |
Structures
| Structure | Biome / dimension | What’s in it |
|---|---|---|
| Ruined Apiary House | Infected Woods | Abandoned cottage, chests, Keeper Maren’s ledger |
| Infected Village | Infected Woods, Infected Core | Overrun plains-style village |
| Overworld Lab | Lots of Overworld biomes (including infected ones) | Rundown stone-brick field lab |
| Breakout Lab | Underground, anywhere in the Overworld | Deep containment site. Containment Notes for the beacon purge |
| Hive Queen Dungeon | Infected Core | Honeycomb dungeon + Hive Queen. After the fight: Infected Honeycomb with gold on top, bottom, left, and right → Queen Comb, then smith the Curing Trim |
| Nether Quarantine | Nether | Blackstone pen with a crimson or warped nest + strain chests |
| End Research Annex | End highlands / midlands / barrens / small islands | End-brick pad with a void nest + strain chests |
Armor
Blightiron is iron-tier. Mine it in Infected Woods, smelt it, craft it like iron.
Blightiron tools works like Gold tier but with the durability like Iron.
| Blightiron | Cured Blightiron | |
|---|---|---|
| Craft / upgrade | Blightiron ingots | Smithing: Curing Trim + blightiron piece + Diamond |
| Per piece | −1 heart | No health penalty |
| Full set | +20% damage, +10% speed | +10% damage, +5% speed |
| Full set immunity | Poison, wither, Infected Venom | Same |
| Boots | Walk through infected plants | Same |
| Durability | Iron-like | A bit higher |
Using a Curing Trim on other armor (not raw blightiron) just applies a blightiron-colored Curing trim. It does not convert that armor into blightiron.
Dyeing Cured Blightiron
Smithing gives the default diamond Curing trim.
To switch it to the sealed black look: put one Cured Blightiron piece and Black Dye in the crafting grid (shapeless). Damage and enchantments stay on the piece.
Potions
Start with an Awkward Potion (Water Bottle + Nether Wart).
| Potion | Brew | Duration / extra | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pheromone Masking | Awkward + Infected Sugar | +Redstone → 8:00 (base is 3:00) | Bees ignore you. Drink this one. |
| Hive Containment | Awkward + Infected / Crimson / Warped / Void Honeycomb | +Redstone → extended. +Glowstone → strong | Splash a wild nest to pacify it. Also turns nearby parasitic bees back into normal bees. Splash a valid containment beacon to purge loaded chunks. |
| Hive Infection | Hive Containment + Fermented Spider Eye | — | Splash a normal bee nest to infect it. Splash a beacon to put the dimension back on infection rules. |
| Swarm Lure | Pheromone Masking + Fermented Spider Eye (base or extended masking both work) | +Redstone → extended. +Glowstone → strong | Splash to pull parasitic bees to the impact. |
Gunpowder / dragon’s breath work as usual for splash and lingering.
Drink Masking. Throw Containment, Infection, and Swarm Lure.
Beacon containment (from the Breakout Lab notes)
Four full diamond layers under the beacon (3x3 through 9x9). Bottom 9x9 corners are one each of Parasitic, Crimson, Warped, and Void nests. Everything else on that layer is diamond. Splash Hive Containment on the beacon. Only loaded chunks get purged.
Splash water on the beacon to clear the mode.
Extra tools
- Bee-repellent candles — fuel with Infected Honeycomb, then light. You can’t sleep in infected biomes without a candle or masking.
- Blightiron Shears — harvest comb without angering bees.
- Hive Sensor — redstone 0–15 from the hive in front (honey or bees mode).
- Salt Gun — reload with Infected Salt (
R). Hits parasitic bees harder on easier difficulty.
