About Twilight Forest

"Imagine stepping through a portal into a twilight realm, filled with trees as far as the eye can see. Breathtaking vistas and amazing discoveries await you around every corner. But beware! Not all denizens of the forest respond to your intrusion lightly."

Twilight Forest is a dimension exploration mod focused on adventure that will take you on a journey to meet strange creatures, exploring dungeons, and much more. Some of the major features include:
• Fully Fledged dungeons.
• Varied boss battles with elaborate mechanics.
• Treasure and loot with unique traits and functions.
• Street cred; OG 2011 modding represent!
• Ongoing development. We never stop!

Getting Started
To get started in the mod, you first need to create a portal to access the Twilight Forest, after doing so you're ready to explore!

DIY IKEA Portal Kit

The portal can be assembles in any shape and size you want, the image above is just the minimum size requirement and the portal can be made in many different shapes and sizes. The portal functions as long as the following conditions are met:
1.) The frame is made out of Grass, Dirt, Podzol, Mycelium, etc.
2.) On top of the grass are flowers, mushrooms, leaves, plants, etc.
3.) The frame must be completely filled with water.

Minecraft crashed after installing Twilight Forest!
If you have OptiFine installed be sure to remove it as OptiFine is incompatible with our mod. Otherwise, please make report on our Issue Tracker.

Can you make Twilight Forest work with OptiFine?
We can't. OptiFine replaces and removes part of vanilla code our mod requires to function. If it ever gets fixed it would need to be done by Optifine and not us. Instead, consider using Embeddium as an alternative for performance and Oculus for shaders.

When will the mod be updated to [insert version here]?
We develop Twilight Forest for the latest version only, and we start porting the mod as soon as we can to that version. We do not have nor will give any estimates of how long that might take, so please sit tight until it's done.

***What happened to the new textures? Where are they?***We made a standalone resource pack for them. We did this because maintaining it became cumbersome for several reasons.
