About this project

What does TheDragonLib add?

TheDragonLib is a library mod providing essential utilities and shared functionality for sokratis12GR's mods — most notably a flexible config/rule API for building in-game config screens.

Instead of hand-rolling GUI code and string parsing, mods declare a RuleType schema (fields like item, block, entity, biome, attribute, number, toggle, choice, or custom pickers) and get, for free:

  • Ready-made, polished list/edit screens (RuleListScreen/RuleEditScreen) with validation, error highlighting, tooltips, and reset-to-defaults
  • Pluggable line formats (RuleFormat) — the built-in pipe-delimited syntax, or your own key=value / legacy layout
  • Registry-backed suggestion pickers for vanilla registries (items, blocks, entities, biomes, attributes), plus bulk "add from search" pickers
  • One-line wiring into NeoForge's config screen and ModConfigSpec boilerplate (ConfigScreenHelper, ConfigHelper)
