About this project
What does Skyrim Craft add?
Skyrim Craft
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, rebuilt inside Minecraft 26.3
The snow is falling over a walled city on the hill. A bard is singing at the inn, the blacksmith is banking his forge for the night, and a guard is muttering about the dragon that was seen over the mountains this morning.
Then you hear it. A roar from the clouds.
Skyrim Craft brings the province of Skyrim into Minecraft, built from the ground up for Minecraft 26.3. It isn't a pack of swords and ores. You get the whole adventure: you level up the skills you actually use, the people have lives of their own, and there are guilds to rise through, dungeons to clear and dragons to fight. Every dragon you slay gives you its soul.
🏔️ A land worth getting lost in
- Walled cities in four styles, from timber halls to grey stone and Dwemer masonry. Each one has a market, a Jarl's palace, a temple, an inn, a smithy and homes. The walls climb with the hills instead of flattening them
- Roads and signposts linking every town, with travellers on the way and Khajiit caravans that make camp at night
- Nordic barrows that are never the same twice. They span two or three floors, with swinging blades, dart walls, oil traps, rotating pillar puzzles and claw doors that hide their code somewhere inside
- Dwemer ruins, and Blackreach, a vast glowing cavern far below the world
- Imperial forts, Orc strongholds, mines, mills, witch huts, vampire lairs, shipwrecks and hot springs
- Oblivion gates. Some already burn open, scorching the land around them. Climb the Sigil Tower and take the stone to seal them
- Sovngarde, the Soul Cairn and Apocrypha for those who find the rare portals, plus an ash island with a smoking volcano
- Blizzards in the north, and the aurora on clear nights
🗡️ Become anyone
- All 18 Skyrim skills. Swing a sword and you get better with swords. Pick locks and you get better at picking locks
- 141 perks across 18 constellations, and Legendary skills when you max one out
- 10 races, each with its own bonuses and a once a day racial power, plus 14 standing stones
- A leveled world that grows more dangerous as you do, with diseases, vampirism and lycanthropy for the unlucky
🐉 Speak with the Voice
- 27 shouts, all learned word by word from Word Walls and unlocked with dragon souls. They range from Unrelenting Force and Fire Breath to Dragon Aspect, Bend Will and Summon Durnehviir
- Dragons that hunt. They circle, perch on towers and peaks, land to bite and tail swipe, burn villages, and leave their skeletons behind when they fall
- Ride them. Bend a dragon to your will, saddle it, and shout from its back
- Climb to High Hrothgar, face the Greybeards' trials, and read the meaning of every word you know in the journal's Dragon Language page
🔥 Magic, steel and shadow
- 58 spells across Destruction, Restoration, Alteration, Illusion and Conjuration. That includes the master spells, true necromancy that raises the creature you just killed, and Bound weapons
- Dual casting, staves, soul gems, an Arcane Enchanter, and a Staff Enchanter that turns any spell you know into a staff
- Killmoves, shield bashes, timed blocks, dual wielding, stagger, power attacks and charges on horseback
- Crossbows, poisons, and fire, frost, shock and soul trap arrows, plus arrows for every tier from Steel to Dragonbone
- Enemies that drink potions, flee when beaten and shout for their friends
- Six difficulty levels, from Novice to Legendary
🏛️ People with lives of their own
- They sleep in their beds at night and gather by the fire in the evening
- They remember you. Help them and they become friends who bring gifts and better prices. Hit them and they won't forget it
- Persuade, Intimidate or Bribe your way through a conversation, or out of a jail cell
- Marry (wear the Amulet of Mara), adopt an orphan, take on a follower or a loyal dog
- Bards who play on request, couriers who track you down with letters and inheritances, and brawls for a bet
- Crime has consequences. Bounties are tracked per hold, and anything you lift carries a red hand that only a fence will overlook
⚔️ Choose a side
- The Companions, the College of Winterhold, the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood, each with ranks and a questline
- The civil war. Join the Legion or the Stormcloaks and take the holds for your side
- Become Thane, earn a housecarl, and never run out of work: Jarls, innkeepers and guilds always have another job
🏠 Make a home
- Blacksmith Forge, Smelter, Tanning Rack, Cooking Pot, and tempering at the Grindstone and Workbench
- Every armor tier, plus shields to match. Fur, Imperial, Stormcloak, Nightingale and Shrouded armor, mage robes and fine clothes, each with its own perks
- Gems and jewelry: cut flawless gems, set them into rings and necklaces, and enchant them
- Legendary weapons hidden in particular dungeons. Find Chillrend, Dragonbane, the Gauldur Blackblade and more
- Buy a house in any city, or build your own Hearthfire homestead room by room
- Weapon racks, display cases and pedestals to show off what you've earned
- Alchemy with real ingredients, gardens that spread on farmland, and fishing with Skyrim fish
- Merchants with a purse of gold that refills every two days. Invest in a shop and it stocks finer goods
📜 It feels like Skyrim
- A Skyrim inventory with categories, value, weight and a turning preview
- A character page with your resistances, magic, bounties and factions
- A quest journal with a General Stats page that tracks dragons slain, locks picked and more
- A compass, a world map with fast travel, your own map markers, carriages and a Wait menu
- Loading screen lore, the skill constellations, and original music for exploring, taverns, battles and dragons

- New places only appear in newly generated chunks, so a fresh world is best
🧪 This is a beta
Everything listed above is in the game and playable. Expect rough edges, and art that is still mostly generated placeholder textures while the hand-made art pass is underway. If something breaks, please open an issue with your log and what you were doing. Every report makes the full release better.
The old 1.12.2, 1.15.2 and 1.20.1 files are the original early experiments and are kept for history. All new development happens on 26.3.
