Compatibility
Other Fishing Mods
- This mod is designed to be compatible with other fishing-related mods, but the level of compatibility depends on how those mods modify the fishing system.
Full compatibility
- If another mod simply adds new fishing rods without modifying the vanilla fishing mechanics, it should work perfectly alongside Advanced Fishing.
Partial compatibility (loot tables)
- If a mod modifies the vanilla fishing loot tables, compatibility will be partial. Advanced Fishing uses its own loot tables for fish, while vanilla tables are only used for junk, treasure, and rare fallback cases when no fish could be caught.
Partial compatibility (fishing mechanics / bobber)
- Advanced Fishing replaces the vanilla fishing bobber when a rod is cast.
If another mod also modifies the fishing mechanics or replaces the bobber entity, conflicts may occur. - In such cases, you can disable the config option:
OVERRIDE_VANILLA_FISHING - When this option is disabled, Advanced Fishing mechanics, catches, and enchantments will only work when using the Blazing Fishing Pole, allowing both mods to coexist.
Other mods:
- This mod allows other mods to define custom fishing rules for their own fluids.
Mod developers can specify custom loot tables, fluid particles, and bobber behavior.
This makes it possible to restrict fishing to specific rods, create unique catches, or customize how fishing works in different liquids.
Gravestone - Extended
- If the mod Gravestone - Extended is installed, many fish gain additional brewing recipes, allowing them to be used for creating new potions. Furthermore it adds its own type of fluid with special catch and 2 new fishing rods.
