About this project

What does YANDO's Villager Names (Fabric) add?

YANDO's Villager Names

Because Villagers Deserve Names Too!

Overview

Imagine a bustling village, full of life, where every villager has a name, a story, a purpose. YANDO’s Villager Names cannot do any of this. But we can at least ensure that every villager you encounter is more than just a nameless NPC. Now, every villager you meet will have a unique name, making them feel more like real inhabitants of your world rather than just another trade machine.

Gone are the days of shoving nameless villagers into your farms or ignoring them entirely because they all look the same. With millions of name combinations in the pool, you’ll find yourself actually caring about these little guys—or at least feeling a tiny bit guilty the next time you “accidentally” push one into lava.

Features:

Automatically Assigned Names 📛

The moment your world boots up, every villager that spawns will be given a randomly assigned name and surname from a list that combines for millions of possibilities. Each one becomes a unique individual, complete with their own identity, ready to trade, farm, or just wander around aimlessly.

Profession Titles 🛠️

As villagers find their calling, their names will automatically update to include their profession. Whether it’s Farmer John or Librarian Susan, you’ll always know who’s who at a glance—because even Nitwits deserve a title, right?

Customizable Options ⚙️

This mod is fully customizable, allowing you to tweak name formats, add or remove names, and even choose special titles for Nitwits (let’s be honest, we’ve all got some creative ideas for them). Whether you want to honor your friends or poke fun at your foes, the power is in your hands.

Enhanced Immersion 🌍

With YANDO’s Villager Names, your Minecraft world feels more alive than ever. You’ll start recognizing villagers by name, remembering who has the best trades, and maybe—just maybe—thinking twice before you shove them into your next iron farm.
