Four Elemental Swords

This mod adds four elemental swords, each with its own damage, speed and powers: Fire Sword, Water Sword, Air Sword and Earth Sword. Combine all four to craft a special one: the Sword of the Gods

Available for Forge, NeoForge and Fabric.

How it works

• Right click to activate the powers of the sword on yourself.
• Hit an enemy to apply the element's effect to it.
• Hold Shift over a sword to see what it does.
• Swords can be enchanted, and repaired on an anvil with another sword of the same type or with the material used to craft them.
• Recipes unlock in the recipe book as soon as you pick up the element's material.

New in 26.1.2 (v2.10.0)

• On-hit effects for every sword: Fire sets enemies on fire, Air gives Levitation, Earth gives Slowness, Water gives Weakness.
• Cooldown and durability cost for the right-click ability, both optional.
• One sword, two recipes: diamond and netherite recipes now craft the same sword. Old netherite swords in existing worlds are converted automatically.
• Disabled swords only lose their recipe: no more missing items or errors.
• Recipe book support.
• Fixed: the attack speed option in the config was ignored.
• Fixed: swords lost 2 durability per hit instead of 1.

The swords

Values are the defaults. Everything can be changed in the config.

FIRE SWORD — ATTACK: 10, SPEED: 2.6 Right click: Fire Resistance. On hit: sets the enemy on fire.

AIR SWORD — ATTACK: 8, SPEED: 3.9 Right click: Jump Boost V, Speed III and Slow Falling. On hit: Levitation.

WATER SWORD — ATTACK: 9, SPEED: 3.1 Right click: Conduit Power, Dolphin's Grace and Water Breathing. On hit: Weakness.

EARTH SWORD — ATTACK: 14, SPEED: 1.6 Right click: Absorption V, Resistance V and Strength V. On hit: Slowness II.

SWORD OF THE GODS — ATTACK: 24, SPEED: 3.4 Right click: all the effects of the four swords, plus Health Boost and Regeneration.

Config files

All files are in the config folder.

• elemental-swords-config.toml: enable or disable each sword, and choose Diamond or Netherite Sword for the recipes.
• elemental-swords-effects.toml: enable or disable each right-click effect, and change its level and duration.
• elemental-swords-parameters.toml: damage, attack speed and durability of each sword.
• elemental-swords-abilities.toml (from v2.10.0): cooldown and durability cost of the right-click ability.
• elemental-swords-hit-effects.toml (from v2.10.0): enable or disable each on-hit effect, and change its level and duration.

Older versions have fewer options: enabling swords from 2.5.5, recipe type from 2.5.6, effects from 2.5.9, parameters from 2.7.5. Fabric has the same options from 1.6.0.
