About this project

What does Versioner add?

Versioner

A lot of people are not playing the latest version of a modpack, which means it can have less features and more bugs. If you are a modpack maker, you must want a way to tell your players to update to the new version so that they can get better experience. Also, you might want a way to reward your sponsors so they can get nice cosmetic effects in game!

That's why this mod exists. It provides the following features:

  • Fetch the latest version from an URL and compare it with the current version defined in the config.
  • If the current version is outdated, notify players when they join a game. This feature is client side only.
  • Define changelogs per version and display them.
  • Fetch a list of sponsors from the URL and you can get that list in CraftTweaker, so you can easily implement sponsor content!
  • Sponsors can be tiered!
  • Render a piece of text in the main menu that displays some version info.
  • Define variables that are fetched from the URL, then have access to them in CraftTweaker.
  • Complete CraftTweaker integration
  • Very customizable, you can store values in the local config in case that the connect to the URL fails.
  • View the wiki (button can be found on the top) for how to use it!
