About this project

What does Clash! add?

Clash is a weapon mod that is HEAVILY in development. As it stands, there are three types of weapon; the Spear, Swept Axe, and Greatblade. There are plans for six, perhaps seven items. The plan is to release these one at a time, collecting feedback on previous items as I go.

The Spear currently has 4 unique enchantments and can receive some additional ones from other weapons. Its main mechanic is its charged up stabbing attack, which lets the user reach considerably further when attacking. It can be crafted by combining a stick and an iron ingot in a smithing table (in 1.20 its different). This is a temporary recipe to enable survival usage, which is what I am primarily looking for feedback on.
The Billhook is a Spear variant designed to be a little more useful for PvP. It pulls targets with its stab attack and has a faster charge time than the Spear does.

The Swept Axe is a melee weapon designed for crowd control. The axe is capable of dealing its full damage to all targets in its sweep area. It can receive vanilla damage boost enchantments along with custom ones that allow it to go on rampages. When broken, the swept axe drops the head used to craft it, retaining enchantments.

The Greatblade is a heavy weapon. It can be charged with its right click and unleashes a large slashing attack. On left click it staggers whatever you attack, forcing them to walk backwards for the duration and giving you time to charge your swing. The greatblade has 5 custom enchantments, enhancing this combo and giving more options.

All enchantments include descriptions if you have the Enchantment Descriptions mod.

As far as this project goes, I want to populate the midgame with interesting weapon choices. Some of the items may be more or less useful than others, and that is okay. Players express themselves through their inventories, and Clash is designed with that in mind. That said, if you find some items to be janky, or overly weak, let me know. I'm looking for a lot of feedback. Thank you for reading this far into the description, I hope you like the mod :)
