About this project

What does Mushroom Origins add?

This mod adds three new fungus themed origins for the Origins mod: shroomling, mushling, and snail. Shroomling is nether based, and mushling is overworld based. Snail was added as a creature commonly found in the same places as fungus. This mod is compatible with both forge and fabric versions of the Origins mod. The Origins mod and Pehkui is required.

Mushling

Just a fungus boi with dank intentions.

Moist Mycelium

  • Mushrooms spend their time in wet environments. As an uprooted mushroom, you can navigate the wet better and longer.

Inhabitant of the Dark

  • Use your active ability to see in your usual dank environment.

Lightweight

-Due to your light body, you don't take fall damage.

Mini Mush

- Mushrooms are small. You are slightly taller than 1 block.

Creeping Cap

  • When creeping about, you become slightly transparent.

Disinfectant

  • Fungi can easily be killed by too much heat. Heat sources hurt more.

Dehydration

  • The sunlight dries and wilts your fungal structure.

Spongy

  • Mycelium is more fragile than flesh.
Shroomling

Just a mushroom lad doing their best to spread their spores.

Dark Growth

  • Use your active ability to return to your dark roots. Turn invisible and quick at the cost of exhaustion.

Fire Immunity

  • You don't take fire damage.

Lightweight

  • Due to your light body, you don't take fall damage.

Spore Spread

  • You are used to the spread of your spores, resulting in a natural inclination for ranged combat.

Mini Mush

  • Mushrooms are small. You are slightly taller than 1 block.

Camo Cap

  • Your cap helps you blend in resulting in slight transparency.

Nether Spawn

  • You spawn in the nether.

Water Vulnerability

  • You take damage from water over time.

Spongy

  • Mycelium is much more fragile than flesh.

Fungal Limbs

  • Your fungus arms are not made to wield melee weapons and you deal less damage.
Snail

A slimey specimen creeping about in unusual places.

Slime Covered

  • You can climb on any surface, including the ceiling.

Love Darts

  • Like other snails, you can fire darts at will.

Unpicky Eater

  • Rotten or poisonous food is bad? Since when? You can eat anything that's vaguely edible.

Sun Sickness

  • Being in the sunlight is exhausting. Snails need more energy to handle the deadly rays.

Crispy

  • Your slimey body needs to stay slimey. Heat sources hurt a little more.

These origins were originally created for my modpack Arid Castle. Feel free to use it in your own modpack though. Enjoy!
