About this project

What does Ecospherical Expansion add?

Ecospherical Expansion is a mod aimed towards recreating biomes with more diversity and aesthetically pleasing scenes. Additionally, this mod adds custom integration with the Large Biomes and Amplified world presets; While also adding 8 new world presets to choose from.

NEWER VERSIONS (1.21+):
This mod will not be updated anymore, it has been replaced by my newer mod Hydrological (Overworld Terrain & Biomes) - Minecraft Mods - CurseForge

Taiga

NOTE: Versions below 1.20.x do not have world presets. In those versions, this mod simply redoes the vanilla biomes.

Default:

  • Terrain above the surface is the same as vanilla.
  • Caves are now much more open.
  • Oceans now lead into sprawling cave systems.

Large Biomes:

  • Adds some massive plateaus with smooth surfaces.
  • Biomes are much larger.

Amplified:

  • Biome generation has been altered to make Y63 and below always oceans.
  • World height has been extended to Y512.
  • Terrain has been reworked to add massive variation in style across large distances.
  • There are now small floating islands that generate above the existing terrain.

Tropospherical:

  • Sparse floating islands.
  • The bottom of the world is entirely submerged in ocean.
  • The nether is also transformed in the same way.

  • Large, multi-layered, dense floating islands.

  • Ridiculously dense floating islands.
  • Insane amounts of verticality.
  • Does not have the floating island rivers. (To stay consistent with the OG mod.)

  • A large, single layer of moderately spaced floating islands.
  • The bottom of the world is an empty void.

  • The nether is also transformed to have a similar appearance, but the height remains the same.

  • Tectonic: Fully compatible on older tectonic versions, requires datapack which is available to download in the discord.

Attention Server Owners: To use custom presets you must replace "level-type=minecraft:normal" with "level-type=eco:thenameoftheworldpreset" in your server properties file.
