About this project

What does Captcha add?

If you've been around the internet you know all about Captcha's. This mod adds them to Minecraft!

By default the mod will require the user to finish a Captcha to continue doing what they were doing. The default cooldown between Captcha requests is 15 minutes.

Currently you can experience the following Captcha types using the mod:

  • I'm not a monster (Where you have to prove you're not a monster by clicking the checkbox)
  • Math question (Where you have to answer a math question)

But that's not all! The latest update brings even more excitement with new additions:

  • Text Captcha: Transcribe distorted or obscured text to prove your observation skills.
  • Image Captcha: Identify and select correct objects or patterns in images to demonstrate your visual perception.

The "Captcha" mod also provides config options for fine-tuning the gameplay experience. With options such as:

  • gracePeriod - Set the duration of uninterrupted gameplay before Captcha challenges begin.
  • captchaTime - Adjust the time limit for solving each Captcha challenge.
  • captchaCooldown - Define the interval between successive Captcha requests.
