About this project

What does Resource Chickens add?

Forge, NeoForge and Fabric (https://throne.me/wallywhip)**

Remember way back in Minecraft when you could just get resources for free or from very little effort ?

Well those days are back, almost... This is a re-imagining of the Chickens mod by setycz

**

What ?**
Go forth into the world and find various new types of wild chickens. Using JEI/REI you can discover which variations of chicken breed with others and what their item drops will be

Don't know how to breed chickens? I mean seriously? Feed them seeds, let them kiss and BOOM!
eg: Two adult diamond chickens make a diamond chicken baby, which will inherit its parents stats and a bit more - breeding babies all the way up to Growth 10, Gain 10 and Strength 10

The higher the stats of the babies the faster and more drops they will produce when they become adults

How ?
Use the Animal Capture Net to capture any friendly mob, but especially to capture chickens and place/remove them to/from a nest, aka Stasis Chamber

The Nest must have seeds to function. Seeds can be piped into the nest in the usual manner, hopper, item pipes etc, or simply right clicking it with seeds
The nest only accepts one type of seed at a time, but all seeds can be used, wheat, melon, pumpkin and beetroot
The drops from the residing chicken will be stored in the nest, or auto output into inventories below it
You can rename a chicken by slapping a name tag onto the nest

see these images for example nest setups

Conversion ?
Most chickens can be converted from ordinary vanilla by simply clicking a drop item onto it a few times. ie: If you want a coal chicken, find a vanilla chicken and right click coal onto it.The One Probe and Jade will show you how many times to repeat this, then BOOM!

Configs ?
Config files are auto-extracted from the mod upon first run and again if the config/resourcechickens folder is missing. These configs can easily be edited with a text editor and contain lots of options such as chicken name, breed time, conversion items, egg colours, feeding item and more
