Strictly Origins (Forge) Mod

This is a Forge Mod addition for the Forge version of the Origins mod! Please use the Wiki for more information that was left out on this page.

  • Works with Medieval Origins Revival and Origins Fabric best! ( use connector )
  • Opened an Issue Tracker for 1.20.1 version only.

New Translations Added:

  • Spanish (Latin America): es_ar, es_cl, es_ec, es_es, es_mx, es_uy, es_ve
  • French (France): fr_fr
  • Russian (Russia): ru_ru
  • Chinese (Simplified): zh_cn
  • Turkish: tr_tr

Origins and Powers

High Elf

Powers:

  • Fire Bolt (Main ability)
  • Jump height increased (fall damage reduction)
  • Glowing - Attacking an enemy lights them up
  • Vegetarian
  • Towering: 2-1/2 blocks tall
  • Forest vision
  • Hyper sight

Plantaemancer (1.18 and above)

Powers:

  • Poison Ivy Vines [Primary]: Send out a vine that applies poison to the target.
  • Plant Caretaker: Shift right click plants with an empty hand to make them grow.
  • Regrowth: Heal when in water.
  • Blissful Light: Boosted speed during the day.
  • Flammable: Take extra damage from fire and lava.
  • Light Deprivation: Weakness when in low light levels.

Paladin (1.18 and above)

Powers:

  • Protection From the Undead: Hit them to set them on fire.
  • Praise the Sun [Primary]: Heal and gain resistance as well as regeneration for 10 seconds.
  • Durendal: New Power Sword
  • Book: Information on how to fix your sword
  • Skilled: Holding the Durendal gives you a damage boost.
  • Better Built at a Price: Extra exhaustion and larger appetite.
  • Weakness: Undead cause more damage to you.
  • Holy Life: Killing grants you Holy Water (you heal).
  • Slowness: Reduced movement speed.
  • Power to Full Heal: Ability to fully heal yourself.

Knight (1.18 and above)

Powers:

  • Skofnung: Spawn in with the new modded sword Skofnung!
  • Knightly Skilled: Overall attack damage is boosted.
  • Damage Boost: Holding the Skofnung gives you an extra 1.5 damage boost.
  • Slowness: Reduced movement speed.
  • Crescent Worship [Primary]: Heal and get boosted attack speed for 30 seconds.
  • Book: Information on how to fix your sword.
  • Bowless: Cannot use bows/crossbows.

Bird Of Paradise (name change as of 1.19.2)

Powers:

  • Aerial Combatant: More damage while in elytra flight.
  • Featherweight
  • Tailwind: Increased speed on foot.
  • Winged: Can fly using a combination of flapping and gliding.

Weaknesses:

  • Need For Mobility: No heavy armor (chainmail or below).
  • Carnivore: Meat only.
  • Wet Wings: Cannot swim.

Orc Shaman (requires SkillCloaks mod and Orcz mod)

Powers:

  • Immune to the effect of your attacks.
  • Bring dead back to life in a devastating attack.
  • Shaman Hood: Great source of powers and protections.
  • Learned the power of the orc god of curses.

Weaknesses:

  • Slow at night.

WildCat

Powers:

  • No fall damage.
  • Night vision when not in water.
  • Can scare creepers.
  • Climbing ability.

Weaknesses:

  • Carnivore: Meat only.
  • Increased hunger when submerged in water.

Troll

Powers:

  • Sluggish: Not known for their agility, Trolls are some of the slowest creatures.
  • Cunning: Trolls do twice the amount of damage a regular human would do.
  • Ravenous: It takes a lot of food to sustain a creature as big as a troll.
  • XXXL: Trolls cannot wear armor except helmets due to their size.
  • Stocky: Trolls have 2.5x the health of a regular player.
  • Gargantuan: Renowned for their size.
  • Lead Belly: Immune to hunger and poison effects.

Thief (requires Blue Skies mod)

Powers:

  • Shulker Inventory: 3x3 slots where items are not lost on death.
  • Tailwind: Walk faster.
  • Fragile: Start with only 6 hearts.
  • Cloak and Dagger: Start with diamonds and a Bag of Spoils (requires the Blue Skies mod).
  • Money Lover: Holding a diamond gives you Speed II.
  • Parkour: Extra damage on attacks.
  • More Exhaustion: Require more food than others.

Priest (1.16.5-1.18.2 requires Relics mod)

Powers:

  • Scholar: Start with XP bottles, Lapis, and a Holy Locket (requires the Relics mod).
  • Nimble
  • Holy Shield
  • Vegetarian: Only eat vegetables.
  • Fall Immunity: No fall damage.
  • Holy Curse
  • Ender Particles: Particles around the body.

Raccoon

Powers:

  • Expert at Hiding: Invisibility for 10 seconds. [Primary]
  • Fish Lungs: Can breathe underwater.
  • Nocturnal Eyes: Night Vision in dark places.
  • Rabies Resistant: Immunity to poisoned food.
  • Rabies: Poison effect for 5 seconds when hitting someone.
  • Scurry: Speed and Jump Boost.
  • Sharp Claws: 2 hearts of damage to unarmored targets, half a heart to armored targets.
  • Thick Fur: Always has at least 2 full bars of armor.
  • Tough Heart: Extra set of hearts.
  • Tough Stomach: Slower hunger depletion.
  • Trash Lover: Regeneration I when holding brown dye.
  • Small Body: Can fit through one block gaps when crouching.
  • Claustrophobia: Weakness and slowness in low ceiling areas.
  • Hates Carrots: Lose half a heart when eating carrots.
  • Small Hands: Cannot hold a shield.

Honey Bee

Powers:

  • Nectar Processing: Collect nectar from flowers and convert to honey.
  • Freedom Calls: Hover and fly using nectar bar. Cannot fly in rain. [Hold Jump]
  • Stinger: High damage attack that also poisons but kills the user. [Primary]
  • Bee Diet: Only eat flowers.
  • Bee Skin: Yellow skin.
  • Itty Bitty: Fragile body with only 6 hearts.
  • Smoke Sickness: Nausea and slowness near smoke.

Otter

Powers:

  • Otter Pouch: Use flaps of loose skin to carry food. [Primary]
  • Mini Riptide: Launch in the direction you're looking at (must be submerged). [Secondary]
  • Aquatic Predator: Fight at insane speeds when submerged.
  • Wet Eyes: Perfect underwater vision.
  • Aqua Affinity: Break blocks underwater as if on land.
  • Like Water: Float unless desired otherwise.
  • Improved Lungs: Longer underwater breathing.
  • Otter God's Blessing: Physically stronger as a gift from the Otter God.

Weaknesses:

  • Carnivore: Meat only.
  • Small: Slightly smaller than regular humans.
  • Unwieldy: Cannot hold a shield.
  • Large Appetite: Requires more food.
  • Aquatic: More damage from impaling.
  • Claustrophobia: Weakness and slowness in low ceiling areas.
  • Heart Reduction: Only eight hearts.

Dwarf

Powers:

  • Haste
  • Nocturnal Eyes: Night vision
  • Potent Brew: Activate primary ability to drink brew, gaining regeneration.
  • Miniature: Very small size.
  • Dense: Sink in water.
  • Insatiable Hunger
  • Axe Strong: Certain axes give more damage.
  • Gold Lover: Holding gold gives strength boosts.
  • Pickaxeless Stone: Harvest stone with your hand.

Barako (1.16.5 - 1.18.2 requires Mowzies Mobs)

Powers:

  • Sunblessing: Use the power of barakoa for 25 minutes. [Primary]
  • Sun Block: Invincibility for 25 seconds with a 5-minute cooldown. [Secondary]
  • Sun Strength: Strength effect in sunlight.
  • Weak Health: Start with only 1 heart.
  • Slowness: Walk slower at night.
