About this project

What does Loot Config add?

Currently Developed for Minecraft Version: 1.19.2

Minecraft mod for modifying the loot tables throughout Minecraft using JSON!

About

Any block, entity, chest, or whatever loot table can be replaced or added to using entirely JSON. This includes adding items from other mods to loot tables from other mods!

This mod is even designed with the idea of overwriting other mods in mind if desired. Please read the full README.md

If you need any assistance in understanding the mod, you can join the Timefall discord here: Timefall Discord
I will be happy to assist and hope this mod is useful to you!

Clarification

The mod doesn't allow for direct reference of the existing config for quite a few reasons. It boils down to, if I gave COMPLETE control, the lag would be so bad, you wouldn't be able to play the game. You'd have to make the loot pools ground up if you want to replace a table

Warning: This mod may be partially incompatible with any mod that modifies the loot tables at the same time (on access of loot tables). If you believe you found an incompatible mod, open an issue report on GitHub and I'll look for a solution :)

Want to play with on a server with friends? How about considering a server from BisectHosting? They're already set up and ready to go!

WIP Warning

This mod is a work in progress. Not all intended features are completed and there may be bugs. If you have recommendations or a bug to report, please do so on the GitHub page.

Inspiration

This mod provides direct support beyond what was provided by Chest Loot Modifier by Levoment including allowing modification to entities' and blocks' loot tables as well!

Please check out Levoment's mod here: Chest Loot Modifier Mod and give all the love and support you can <3

The Future of Development

There are likely to be some initial bugs as the conditions are a bit complicated. Please report them, give any feature requests, and report any grievances about ease of use in the aforementioned discord. I'm looking to make this as easy to use as possible. Function application such as the set nbt loot function
will be implemented in a future update. Thank you for your support!

Backporting or Forge? Rehosting?

No. Simply, I will never be porting this mod to forge, I have no interest in doing so. If anyone wishes to, I have no objection. Please just do so through a pull request so that it can stay within the same project. I will not be backporting except maybe to 1.18.x because before then, the Fabric API lacks a good way to modify loot tables. PLEASE DO NOT REHOST THIS MOD. It is rude, if you need it on somewhere other than CurseForge, TALK TO ME. I will likely put it on Modrinth at some point. Please respect this. I will happily accept any contributions anyone makes. Feel free to copy a large portion of this mod if you think you can do better! I just wanted something like this to exist. Just provide a link back to me and Levoment please. <3
