What does Input Method Restore add?

InputFix is a client-side Minecraft 26.2 mod for Fabric, Quilt, and NeoForge. The same universal JAR runs on all three loaders.

What it fixes

Minecraft 26.2 introduced TextInputManager.tickOutsideTextInput(), which disables the active IME every tick while no text field is focused. With Chinese and other input methods, leaving chat can therefore force the game back to direct English input.

InputFix cancels that method with a Mixin. Minecraft no longer changes the user's selected input method outside text fields, while vanilla pre-edit text, candidate positioning, and character callbacks inside text fields remain intact.
