About this project

What does Mob Cap Booster add?

This is a port of adamsogm's Increase Mob Cap mod to 1.16.5 and beyond. It adds config options to increase five different mob caps: Monster, Creature, Ambient, Water Creature, and Ambient Water. Be aware that significantly increasing these caps will produce equally significant amounts of lag!

The five categories in more detail are, to quote the original mod's description:

  • Monster: These are hostile mobs, things like zombies, skeletons, etc. (Default: 70)
  • Creature: These are mostly passive and neutral mods, bees, sheep, cows, etc. (Default: 10)
  • Ambient: Bats (Default: 15)
  • Water Creature: Dolphins and Squid (Default: 5)
  • Water Ambient: Fish (Default: 20)

1.18 and 1.19 also include the following:

  • Axolotl: self-explanatory. (Default: 5)
  • Underwater Water Creature: glow squid. (Default: 5)

Changes to config require a restart!
