About this project

What does Player Shops add?

Player Shops is a mod meant to help with setting up an economy on a multiplayer server, it adds eight shops, each for the different wood types that allow you to set a price as an item and then sell your items to anyone who comes to your shop. The mod also comes with a feature that gives players an allowance item at a time interval(Disabled by default), this is useful for servers without a way of getting the currency item.

Current Features:

  • Shops
  • Shops have a stack limit of 10 times normal, or 64, whichever is higher
  • Hoppers can insert stock into shops and extract profit(configurable)
  • Allowance System(Players gain an item every x ticks, useful for giving them coins)
  • Placing a comparator coming out of a shop will cause it to output for 1.5 seconds whenever something is purchased, the signal strength increases each time something is purchased while its still sending a signal, comparators will also read through blocks
  • FTB Chunks compatibility(Shops work in claimed chunks)
  • FTB Teams compatibility(Shift click a shop with an empty hand to toggle whether or not your team can edit it)

Planned Features:

  • None right now, please leave any suggestions you have

Example Config:

["Common configs for Player Shops"]
#whether or not to use the allowance system
UseAllowance = false
#The id of the item given as an allowance
AllowanceItem = "minecraft:raw_gold"
#The number of items players get given
AllowanceItemCount = 1
#The time in ticks between when a player is given there allowance, one day is 24000 ticks, max is one day currently
AllowanceTime = 24000
#The message displayed to players when getting their allowance
AllowanceMessage = "The sun rises and you gain your allowance"
#The message displayed to players when they cant get their allowance, probably due to full inventory
AllowanceFailMessage = "The sun rises but your inventory was full"
#Whether or not Hoppers can take the profit out of shops
HoppersExtract = false

Known Bugs:

  • Hoppers wont insert past normal stack limit

Quick Start Guide:

Craft a shop, JEI/REI recommended, then place it down, this shop is yours and no one but you can get the profits or break it. Once your shop is placed right click it with the item you want to sell(the count matters), then click with the item you want as the price, now when you click it will open a GUI, the top slot is for your stock, it can stack up to 10 times the normal stack limit, the bottom slot holds your profits until you collect them, if you want to break the shop shift punch it. Now that your shop is set up, any player besides you that clicks on the shop with the payment item will get the selling item from the shop and will add the payment item to the shop for collection.
