About this project

What does Ore Processing for TFC add?

This mod adds a chain of processes that allow you to increase ore yield per ore, by grinding, slurrying, frothing and roasting the ores, going from a minimum 20% increase in yield to a maximum 2.5x the starting amount.

For those worried that the yields are overpowered, be aware this is not a time-free process. After grinding, it takes 6 minutes to slurry, 2 minutes for frothing and 4 minutes for roasting, making the process take about 10 minutes for that increase.Also, it takes 4 ore powders per bucket of slurry, and a full bucket is required for the pot -based frothing.

This mod also adds a way to increase yield from logs in the firepit, in the way of Fire Pellets and Firelogs, created by grinding lumber, palm wood or bamboo (as well as thatch and hay, for much lesser yields), then compressing by hand into pellets (the regular ones burn the same as a maple log) and then further compress the pellets with glue into Firelogs, that last 5 times as the pellets that they were made of.

This is completed by entries integrated into the field manual, on "Advanced mechanics", in "Ore processing" and "Pellets and Firelogs".
