About this project
What does Abyssal Decor add?

Abyssal Decor
A work in progress mod featuring a whole suite of unique, decorative building blocks!
Currently forge only

AD is a work in progress!
Currently, the mod has plenty of blocks to keep you busy, but beware bugs and placeholder recipes.
Expect plenty of updates with polish, new features, fixes, and much more!

FAQ
-How do I get ___?
Most blocksets in AD don't yet generate in world; many feature placeholder recipes. When in doubt, and unless otherwise listed, always check JEI!
-Pearls are obtained from clams, which generate in oceans and are sold by fishermen. Clams can be 'automated' with redstone, or bonemealed to get more clams. As of 0.1.5, they can also be "fed" sand for a chance to instantly grow a pearl!
-Moldy plants grow from black mold spreading. Black mold and blackwood logs (unstripped only) spread mold to nearby dirt and log-type blocks, but only in darkness!
-Amaranth spawns in forests, dark forests, and flower forests
-Bog apples and snapleaves spawn in mangrove swamps
-Muckroot spawns in forests, taigas, and birch forests
-Spidercorn spawns in the ceilings of deepslate caves. It can be planted on stone-type blocks
-Blood Coral is sold by apprentice fishermen, and can be bonemealed underwater to grow more
-Cinnamon logs are currently craft-only, non-functional saplings sold by farmers and grow in jungles
-Wisteria sold by farmers
-Seabrass ore spawns in gravel patches in ocean floors, and afterwards can be crafted. Also sold by journeyman cartographers.
-Etc etc
-Connected Textures??
AD uses built-in blockstates for its vertically-connecting textures. CTM must be installed for omnidirectional connected textures.
-Updates on the rewrite???
(Jan 2, 2026) The rewrite's first alpha is out!
It's currently unpolished and missing anything from the latest mcreator versions (anything past 0.1.7)
But if you'd like to bugtest it, it's currently available in our discord, for 1.20.1 forge.
And fret not, I know how annoying mod discords are too. I'll be publishing the alpha here as well once we have some of the major bugs ironed out and things are more survival ready.
We're still bugtesting, so stay tuned!

Other Info
-Can you put this in your modpack? Heck yea!
-Modrinth link, fabric version, etc, coming after the rewrite.
-I'm very open with use of my work and textures, you are free to use/modify/take inspiration from AD's textures as you see fit. Credit is always appreciated <3
-I can't really stop you, but if you respect my work, please do not rehost AD, please do not use my textures for paywalled (I.E. marketplace) content, and please do not use my artwork for AI.
-Etc etc
