About this project
What does Miner Creepers add?
MinerCreepers adds 11 new mineral-themed Creeper variants to Minecraft 1.21.6 (Fabric). Each creeper type is tied to a specific ore, with unique spawn conditions, drops, and visual effects.
Features
- 11 Creepers — Coal, Iron, Copper, Gold, Redstone, Lapis, Diamond, Emerald (Overworld) + Quartz, Nether Gold, Ancient Debris (Nether)
- Ore Conversion — When a MinerCreeper explodes, it transforms surrounding stone, deepslate, netherrack, blackstone, basalt, and tuff into their corresponding ores. No more strip-mining — let the creepers do the work.
- FOV-based Glow — A colored outline highlights the creeper when you look directly at it, persisting briefly after looking away. Each mineral has its own unique glow color.
- Emissive Textures — Eyes and leg details glow in the dark (light level ≤ 6) and appear dim in lit areas, using per-mineral emissive texture layers.
- Y-level Spawning — Each creeper type spawns only at appropriate heights (e.g., Diamond Creepers deep underground, Emerald Creepers near the mountaintop), with configurable weights and group sizes.
- Charged Variants — Lightning-struck creepers explode with double power.
- Spawn Eggs & Creative Tab — All 11 types have custom spawn eggs with appropriate rarity (Common, Rare, Epic), grouped in a dedicated creative tab.
- Fully Configurable — Everything is adjustable via config/minercreepers_config.json: conversion radius, damage scaling, spawn rates, glow behavior, block types converted, debug logging, and per-creeper type settings.
Why download?
Tired of endless branch mining? MinerCreepers turns hostile mobs into a resource conversion tool. Each biome and depth layer hosts different creeper varieties, encouraging exploration and strategic engagement. The visual polish — colored outlines, emissive textures, and particle effects — makes each encounter distinct and rewarding.
