A progression overhaul for Minecraft 26.3. Work your way up through 10 ages, from bare hands and flint to the End, by completing quests that unlock each new tier of tools and armor.

Features

  • 10 Ages: every age unlocks its own tools and armor. Items from ages you haven't reached are locked: you can't pick them up, take them from chests or crafting, use them or wear them.
  • 200+ Quests: from pulling up grass to holding the dragon egg, including lots of often-overlooked features like smokers, waxing copper, lodestones and archaeology.
  • Quest Book: given to you when you first join. Open it with the book, the K key or /quests to see every age, quest, task and reward, plus search and filters.
  • Quest HUD: shows your current age, active quests and the next step for each one. You can move it to any corner or side of the screen.
  • Tier-locked mining: you need the previous tier's pickaxe to mine the next ore.
  • Flint tools: your first tools, crafted from flint, sticks and string.
  • Amethyst tier: a new tool and armor tier above diamond, needed to mine ancient debris.
  • Endium tier: new ore, tools and armor above netherite, plus an Endium Locator to find it.
  • Quality of life: Mod Menu settings, Jade tooltips that show which tool a block needs, and tooltips on locked items.
  • Datapack-friendly: quests are simple JSON files, so modpacks can add, change or remove them.

Ages

Flint > Wooden > Stone > Copper > Iron > Gold > Diamond > Amethyst > Netherite > Endium

Finish an age's required quests to enter the next one and unlock its gear. You also need the previous tier's pickaxe to mine each ore, so you can't mine diamonds with iron. You need gold first (yes, gold pickaxes can mine diamonds here).

Getting Started

You can't chop wood by hand, so start small. Break leaves to collect sticks and break gravel to find flint. Craft a Flint Knife, then use it to cut grass for string. Combine flint, a stick and string into a Flint Axe, and now you can chop trees. Your Quest Book walks you through every step.
