Enchanted: Witchcraft
A magic and sorcery mod for all things witchcraft
Quick answer
Which Enchanted: Witchcraft release should I use?
Enchanted: Witchcraft enchanted-fabric-1.20.1-3.1.14.jar targets 1.20.1 with Fabric. The project page does not say whether it belongs on the client. The project page does not say whether it belongs on the dedicated server. 1 required mod needs a matching file.
Where it goes
Is Enchanted: Witchcraft required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether it belongs on the client. The project page does not say whether it belongs on the dedicated server.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does Enchanted: Witchcraft enchanted-fabric-1.20.1-3.1.14.jar need?
enchanted-fabric-1.20.1-3.1.14.jar. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Forge Config API Port, StateObserver, Patchouli (Fabric/Quilt), Fabric API and 4 more first, but 1 required mod has no matching file for this setup. Do not mix loader builds to force a match. 4 come through another mod in the chain.
4 extra mods were pulled in by other dependencies. Indented rows show who needs each one. We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does Enchanted: Witchcraft add?

Description
Enchanted is a large magic mod focused on occult practices and witchcraft, inspired by paganism and celtic folklore. If you want to live in the woods stirring a cauldron, this is the mod for you.
The mod started as a spiritual successor to Emoniph's Witchery but over time it is being moved away from that and turning into it's own thing. I've tried to add as much of my own spin to shared features as possible, but future content will differ drastically.
Features
Enchanted provides several distinct and unique branches of magic for witches to explore and master, all based on simple everyday items and ingredients used in diegetic ways with as few GUIs as possible. Witchcraft isn't what most people imagine when they think of magic, there are no flashy spells, no fireballs and no lightning bolts. Instead, it's about making useful tools, trinkets and potions from items you find everywhere to help you play.
- Herbology - Manage your own witch's garden to supply yourself with new trees, herbs and flowers to fuel your witchcraft journey.
- Circle magic - Perform over 45 rites using chalk circles to alter the world, curse your enemies, protect your farm from mobs or much more
- Brewing - Brew your own potions and concoctions by dropping items into your witch's cauldron or kettle.
- Poppetry - Create poppets to protect yourself from death or make a voodoo doll of your friends.

Getting Started
Enchanted has an in-game guide in called "Art of Witchcraft", crafted using a book, an ink sac, a feather and belladonna seeds. You can get these by breaking grass, just like vanilla seeds.
NOTE: Enchanted has a config option to make these seeds only drop when grass is broken with a hoe. This is disabled by default, but some modpacks may choose to enable it.

Support Development
Enchanted is the product of thousands of hours of development and made possible by the wonderful modding community. I greatly appreciate any support and feedback. If you would like to help buy new assets for Enchanted and my other projects, show some appreciation or fund my crippling potion addiction, then consider supporting me on Ko-Fi.
FAQs
- Help, I don't know what to do - Join the Discord if you need any support with the mod or want to give feedback. It's a complicated mod to learn so don't be shy!
- Can I add this to my modpack? - Of course! Just please don't redistribute the mod elsewhere without asking me first and don't claim credit for creating it.
- Can I disable any features? - I try to make Enchanted as configurable as possible. Most features can be toggled individually and modpack devs can add new content via a datapack.
- Can you add X thing? - Feel free to leave suggestions on the discord. I read and consider all feedback.
- Will you backport content? - If I add new content on a version it will not be backported. Sometimes a community member decides to backport it themselves (thanks ACCBDD!) and I'll merge it officially and provide bugfixes, but I don't usually backport anything myself.

Huge credits to Emoniph and his Witchery mod for inspiring this project. Please check out the original.
