About this project

What does Nomad's Rest add?

🛏️ Nomad’s Rest – Overhauled Beds & Sleeping

Nomad’s Rest changes how sleeping works in Minecraft. Beds are no longer portable shortcuts, and sleeping now happens in real-time. Prepare for travel or settle down — rest has new meaning.

💤 Features at a Glance

⏳ Sleeping Changes

  • Sleeping now speeds up time instead of skipping to morning.
  • Nearby chunks and entities continue ticking while you sleep.
  • The screen goes to pitch black instead of just dimmed to prevent exploits with skipping time

🛠️ General Bed Mechanics

  • Beds and bedrolls both require supporting blocks underneath to be placed.
  • If either supporting block is broken, the bed or bedroll will break automatically.

🧶 New Item – Bedroll

  • Bedrolls are portable and do not set your spawn point.
  • Useful for traveling players and temporary camps.
  • Doesn't negate any fall damage when fallen on

🛏️ Bed Changes

  • Beds are now stationary — breaking them drops materials instead.
  • Crafting a bed now requires a Bedroll, adding a step to the process.
  • Makes players craft a Bedroll first before upgrading to a full bed.

Nomad’s Rest makes sleep more immersive and balanced, especially for players on the move.
