About this project

What does Easy Dynamic Difficulty add?

EDDmod – Dynamic Survival Difficulty

It's a beginning mod, welcome to give advices!

My computer is gone so the new update will delay to June. Sorry about that! :(

EDDmod is a Vanilla+ difficulty mod for Minecraft that makes the world react to the player's progress and strength.

Instead of adding new items or systems, EDDmod enhances the vanilla survival experience by introducing a dynamic difficulty system based on the World Tension Index (WTI).

WTI increases as players progress through the game, obtain stronger equipment, explore dangerous structures, and accumulate powerful resources. As the index rises, the world becomes more dangerous.

Features

  • Dynamic difficulty scaling based on player progress and items. If you don't want to be push too hard, you can bring weaker items with you to peace your world a little bit.
  • Stronger and more dangerous monsters as WTI increases
  • Elite enemies and mob groups appearing at higher difficulty
  • Difficulty influenced by equipment, resources, and world progression
  • Vanilla-friendly design that enhances survival without adding new gear or materials

EDDmod aims to keep survival engaging even in the late game, where resources are abundant and players become extremely powerful.

The stronger you become, the more the world pushes back.

TODO List

  • Add more interesting mob enhancements that stay true to the vanilla style

  • Provide a visual configuration screen to easily customize difficulty settings

  • Improve compatibility with adventure and content mods to make modpacks more fun
