Locator Heads

Locator Heads is a client-side Minecraft mod that displays nearby players as heads on your XP bar, making it easy to track their location and direction at a glance.

Customize colors, borders, player filtering, names, and more. You can also add a compass overlay to make navigating multiplayer worlds even easier.

⚙️ Features & Configuration

General

  • Enable/Disable Mod
    Toggle Locator Heads on or off.
  • Render Heads
    Choose whether player heads are rendered. This can be disabled if you only want to display player names.
  • Always Show XP Bar
    Keep the XP bar visible while Locator Heads is active.
  • Head Size
    Change the size of the player heads displayed on the locator bar.

Player Names

Choose when player names should appear on the locator bar.

  • Never (Default)
    No player names are displayed.
  • Always
    Names are permanently visible above all player heads.
  • Looking At
    Names appear only when you look within 30° of the player's direction.
  • Player List
    Names are displayed while the in-game player list is open.

🧭 Compass

  • Show Compass
    Toggle the compass overlay on or off.
  • Compass Colour
    Customize the color of the compass direction letters using the hex color picker.
  • Compass Shadow
    Toggle a black outline around the compass letters for improved visibility.

Head Borders

  • Enable Border
    Toggle borders around player heads.
  • Border Thickness
    Choose how many pixels thick the border should be.
  • Border Style
    Choose between TEAM_COLOUR and STATIC_COLOUR.
  • Static Border Colour
    Choose the color used when STATIC_COLOUR is selected.

👥 Player Filtering

Choose which players appear on your locator bar:

  • All Players (Default)
    Shows everyone.
  • Include Only
    Displays only the players listed in your filter.
  • Exclude Only
    Hides the players listed in your filter while showing everyone else.

Filter Syntax

Separate player names using commas (,), semicolons (;), colons (:), or periods (.).

Example:

Jeb_, Dinnerbone; LadyAgnes
