About this project
What does Map Atlas add?
Map Atlas
A client-side toolkit for everything maps: viewing them, finding them, organising them and building map art.
Works on any server. Nothing is sent to the server except commands you type yourself.
HUD map preview
- See the map you're holding as a clean preview in any corner of your screen
- Adjustable size, plus a bigger preview when you hover a map in your inventory
- Small map icons on inventory slots so you can spot maps at a glance
- Locked / Unlocked badge on the held map
- Noobline check: tells you if a map art has the bright/dark strip along the top (the "noobline") or a clean top row
Find mode
- Track any map by ID (or click maps in a gallery)
- Tracked maps glow wherever they show up: chests, shulkers, your inventory, auction menus
Auction scan
- Open the auction menu and flip pages yourself (mouse or one key press = one page)
- Every page is checked the instant it loads. When a tracked map shows up it glows, dings and tells you the page
- No auto-clicking: the mod never flips pages on its own
Galleries
- Group maps into galleries and lay out multi-map arts
- Register maps with names so you always know what's what
Area grid
- Shows the 128×128 map areas in the world so you know exactly where a map starts and ends
- Optional neighbouring areas, a fixed-Y lock and a noobline guide (the row north of each area)
Map Art (works with Litematica)
Drop your map art .nbt files into .minecraft/schematics/MAP ARTS.
Split NBT
- Top-down preview of the whole art, shaded like a real map, with lines between each map
- Full materials list with block icons and stacks/shulker counts
- One click to split a big art into one schematic per map (each with its own noobline row), saved into its own subfolder
Pin materials
- Pin the whole art or a single map piece. A preview shows the full art with the pinned piece outlined (click a map in the preview to pin it)
- A compact materials box on your HUD: what's left, Litematica-style (
2 SB + 5 x 64 + 12), and how many you have (inventory + shulkers) - Counts down as you place blocks, or anchor to your map area for an exact count from the world
- Beacon beams shoot up from the last few missing blocks (under 5 left overall, or under 5 of one block) so you can find them instantly
Appearance & keys
- Several UI themes plus a custom colour
- Every feature has its own keybind, and most of them also work while a menu is open
Requires: Fabric Loader + Fabric API
Client-side only. Not needed on the server.
