About this project

What does Adaptive World add?

Adaptive World (In open beta!)

A Minecraft datapack/mod that makes the world respond to player presence.

Reactive World introduces a per-chunk dominance system. The more time you spend in an area, the more influence you gain there. Chunks remember your activity and can dynamically react based on how established you are with events.

This turns your world from something static into something that evolves with you.

Stages

Stage 1 (0.75-1.5 Hours in)

  • Wandering Horde can spawn at night
  • a lightning blot can randomly strike above the player

Stage 2 (1.5-2.25 Hours in)

  • Introduces Wandering Raid

Stage 3 (2.25-3 Hours hours in)

  • Introduces Faction Raids

Stage 4 (3-12 Hours Hours hours in)

  • WIP (has all stage 2 stuff)

Stage 5 / Player capture (12+ hours)

  • All events stop in the chunk permanently

Plans

  • Nether and End support (More long term)
  • Get at least 1 event for stage 4
  • More events for stages 2-4
  • Possibly more stages (maybe depending on what difficulty the world is on)
  • A final stage that is shorter and consists of a major boss event that when won will allow the player to claim the land
  • Length of stages depend on the hardness
