About this project

What does beyondheights add?

Introduction

BeyondHeights is a mod that breaks the vanilla world height limit, allowing you to customize the height range of the Overworld, the Nether, and the End.

Features

  • Custom Height: Set the upper and lower height limits for all three dimensions, up to 2032 and down to -2032.
  • Save Marking: In the singleplayer world selection screen, mark a save with a triangle to copy the data pack BeyondHeights.zip into that save's datapacks folder. Marked saves use the independent config from the time of copying, take priority, and remain effective even after the mod is removed.
  • Info Display: When entering a world, the chat bar shows the actual height range of each dimension.

Files

The mod generates two files in config/beyondheights:

  • beyondheights.properties: the config file for setting dimension heights and other parameters
  • BeyondHeights.zip: the data pack generated by the mod, copied into saves when marked

Notes

  • If the height remains the default (-2032~2032) after modifying the config, the entered values are incorrect.
  • If the mod has no effect at all, another terrain mod that modifies height limits is installed.
