Euphonium
Ambient sounds based on biome and world features - a backfork of Charmonium.
Quick answer
Which Euphonium release should I use?
Euphonium 1.0.3+1.20 targets 1.20.1 with Fabric, Forge, Quilt. It must be installed on the client. Do not install it on the dedicated server. 1 required mod needs a matching file.
Where it goes
Is Euphonium required on the client, server, or both?
It must be installed on the client. Do not install it on the dedicated server.
This file is marked client-only.
What else does Euphonium 1.0.3+1.20 need?
1.0.3+1.20. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Fabric API first, but 1 required mod has no matching file for this setup. Do not mix loader builds to force a match. 2 come through another mod in the chain.
2 extra mods were pulled in by other dependencies. Indented rows show who needs each one. We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.
Before you install it

About this project
What does Euphonium add?
A backfork of Charmonium.
Requires Connector and FFAPI on (neo)forge.
Features
Charmonium (and therefore Euphonium) adds biome, structure, and environment-specific ambient sound to the game.
By default, volume can be tweaked through the "Ambient Sounds" slider.
Configuration
Euphonium can be configured via config/euphonium.toml, including:
- Sound channel
- Volume multiplier for world ambience
- Toggles for each type of ambience
- Tweaks for cave darkness ambience
Design
This is a fork and backport of Charmonium 6.0 - an excellent rewrite of the mod by svenhjol!
Charmonium 6.0 can't be reliably built from source. It's API, Charmony, is also not source-visible.
To remedy this, Euphonium has all new buildscripts and forgoes Charmony, using Kaleido for a toml config.
We recommend combining this with Presence Footsteps for further foley depth.
Afterword
All mods are built on the work of many others.
This mod is included in Tinkerer's Quilt - our modpack about rediscovering vanilla.
We're open to better ways to implement our mods. If you see something odd and have an idea, let us know!
