About this project

What does fisher add?

fisher

Exotherm - Collection

Fabric mod that answers every bite per player from the server and logs every catch where vanilla fishing needs manual timing on every bite. Reels and recasts run per player with a delay between them, the rod keeps a line in the water, and the catch log merges rows with search, counts, session stats, a rod durability watch, and treasure toasts behind one master switch. Many servers treat this as autofishing and ban it, so check the rules before switching it on.

Compatibility

  • Fishing runs on Fabric, on the server for everyone, including vanilla clients.
  • Without the mod on the server, the log opens with a notice and locked buttons instead of stale data.
  • Adds no blocks, items, or world data. Player data lives in the server config folder, so existing saves load as before.

FAQ

Is autofishing allowed on servers?
That depends on the server, and many ban it, so don't skip the server rules.

Does it need the client mod?
No. The server reels and recasts for vanilla clients. The log, delay picker, and switches need the mod on the client.

Does it add commands?
No. Everything lives in the log on J.

Is it safe to add to an existing world?
Yes. It writes nothing to the world, so existing saves load as before.

Does it touch advancements?
No custom ones. Catches run the vanilla path, so vanilla fishing triggers fire as normal.

Keys and files at a glance

J opens the catch log under the Exotherm category. Delay, auto reel, auto cast, and the Toasts menu live in the log, per player. Server files are config/exotherm/exothermbutfisher.json and config/exotherm/exothermbutfisher_log.json.
