🧨 60 Seconds to Doom – Mod Overview
This mod introduces a brand-new gameplay experience to Minecraft: 60 Seconds to Doom, inspired by the classic survival game 60 Seconds and expanded with richer, more immersive mechanics.
👥 Team & Setup
At the start of the game, players are automatically divided into groups of 4 (with the option to form teams freely using commands before the game begins). Each team has 60 seconds to scavenge supplies inside their own shelter and place them at the entrance of their bunker. Once the countdown hits zero, all players are sealed inside the bunker and must survive using only the resources they managed to gather.
🌍 Exploration & Risk
Each day, players may choose to venture outside. The wilderness is divided into zones of varying difficulty—the harder the zone, the tougher the monsters, but also the greater the rewards.
Your shelter is a mobile RV. You can drive it into the wild to explore, loot supply crates, and gather essential resources—but you must return to your home base before nightfall.
📰 Daily Events & Intel
Every night, a random event occurs—with over 200 different event types to keep you on your toes. Each morning, you'll receive a newspaper in your mailbox, which provides valuable intel on the day ahead, including a phone hotline—call the number listed in the paper to receive supplies or trigger special events.
⚔️ The Turning Point – PvP Unlocked
After a certain number of days, the real crisis begins: friendly fire is enabled. Players can now raid each other's shelters, steal supplies, or engage in deadly combat. From this point on, you must guard not only against monsters—but against fellow survivors as well.
Your ultimate goal: reach the evacuation point before the final deadline and escape the wasteland.
📊 Survival Stats
Once the game begins, your HUD will display five vital stats:
- 🍖 Hunger
- 💧 Thirst
- 🧠 Sanity
- ☢️ Contamination
- ❤️ Health (your life bar)
Survival demands constant attention—neglect any one of them, and you may not last the week.
🔬 Tech Progression
The mod features a complete tech tree. By collecting scrap materials, you can research and unlock new technologies at the Research Table, gradually gaining access to advanced tools and upgrades.
You can freely set the survival duration for each game session using in-game commands (this determines the day on which the evacuation point will become available; once that day ends, the game will conclude regardless of whether you have successfully evacuated). The game will automatically create a save every 5 minutes. You can also manually save at any time using the /60s save command.
📦 Required Mods
🚀 Future Plans
The mod currently features two game modes:
- 60 Seconds to Doom – the standard survival mode
- 60 Seconds to Doom: Sea Edition – survival on the open ocean (currently in development, will be fully implemented in a future update)
