About this project

What does please stop add?

please stop 🛑

Defy physics! Inertia is cancelled. ✌️

With please stop, creative flight stops when you stop pressing movement keys. No more sliding past your build like you're wearing socks on a waxed floor.

Tiny mod, massive relief for precision building. Toggle with B by default, or rebind it in Controls.

What it does

  • Helps you stop more cleanly while building, lining up blocks, inspecting details, or taking screenshots.
  • Preserves creative flight when you touch the ground – no more double-spacing back up into the sky. This means you can also keep gliding inertia-free while in sneak! Togglable in the settings menu (M).
  • Adds Toggle Please Stop, defaulting to B.
  • Adds Toggle Please Stop Toasts, defaulting to N.
  • Saves local config in config/please_stop.json.
  • Brakes residual creative flight drift after active flight input is released.
  • Leaves vanilla creative flight alone when disabled.
  • Keeps user-facing toasts/messages creative-only.

What it does not do

  • No survival movement changes.
  • No spectator, elytra, swimming, vehicle, or knockback changes.
  • No server commands.
  • No server-authority or anti-cheat bypass claims.

Status

Beta. Built for Fabric and tested locally across worlds. Compatibility claims are intentionally modest: this is a client convenience mod, not a server-authority mod.
