About this project

What does All the Items add?

All The Items turns Minecraft into a giant collection challenge. Every item you get counts toward your progress. That can mean mining it, crafting it, trading for it, fishing it up or finding it in a chest. Can you get all 1,534?

Overview

Features

  • Two modes. On first join every player picks how they want to collect:

    • Item types only: every item counts once. 1,534 items in vanilla 26.3.
    • With variants: 1,859 entries. Each of these counts separately:
      • every potion type, as potion, splash potion, lingering potion and tipped arrow
      • every enchantment level (Sharpness I–V …)
      • every goat horn
      • every suspicious stew effect
      • every ominous bottle level
      • every firework flight duration
  • Only items you can really get. The list is generated from the game itself. Creative-only items are left out, such as command blocks, spawn eggs, bedrock and infested blocks. Every entry was checked against 26.3's loot tables, recipes, trades and game code. Obtainable potions are read from the brewing recipes, so datapacks and other mods are picked up automatically.

  • Collection overview (J): all items at a glance. Collected ones are highlighted, missing ones greyed out. Includes search (also finds enchantments and other tooltip text), filters for all / missing / collected, and a draggable scrollbar.

  • Progress display and popups. A counter in the top left and a popup for every new item. You can switch both off in the options.

  • Built for servers:

    • Per player: every player has their own progress, stored on the server.

    • No singleplayer cheating: items collected in a singleplayer world never reach the server.

    • Creative doesn't count: items picked up in creative or spectator mode don't count, not even after switching back to survival.

    • Players without the mod can still join. They choose their mode with a command and get their progress in chat.

  • English and German. Texts follow each player's game language.

Commands

Command Description
/alltheitems Show your progress
/alltheitems status <player> Show another player's progress
/alltheitems mode types|variants Choose your mode (if not chosen yet)
/alltheitems reset confirm Delete your progress and choose again
/alltheitems reset player <player> (Admin) Reset a player's progress

/give still counts on purpose, so admins can step in if something goes wrong.

Configuration

  • config/alltheitems/excluded_items.json: the list of excluded items. Supports wildcards like minecraft:*_spawn_egg.
  • config/alltheitems/item_list.txt: the generated list of all collectible entries, for reference.
  • config/alltheitems/client.json: your personal display settings.

Installation

Requires Fabric Loader and Fabric API. Install on the server and on every client. Clients without the mod can still play, but have no overview screen.

All The Items macht aus Minecraft eine große Sammel-Challenge.
