About this project
What does TRC Core add?
TRC Core & Libs
The required base mod for every TRC mod. It adds no content of its own. It gives all TRC mods
one settings screen and one command, /trc.
Requires: Minecraft 26.1+ - Fabric Loader 0.18.4+ - fabric-api >=0.144.0 - Java 25.
Install it on the client and/or the server. Server settings can only be edited in game if the
server has TRC-Core too.
Settings screen
Press U to open it. Every TRC mod has its own heading, and client settings are marked
(Client). The screen offers search, a server/client filter and a reset button on every setting.
Hidden settings such as passwords never show their value. Server settings only appear if you are
allowed to edit them. Changes take effect immediately for everyone.
/trc command
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/trc <mod> <setting> [value] |
Shows or sets a value |
/trc reset <mod> <setting> |
Restores the default |
/trc list |
Lists the mods you can reach |
mymod is a mod's server settings and mymod_client its client settings. Tab completion only
offers what you may use. The command also works from the server console.
Permissions
- Singleplayer/LAN: the host can always edit. Other players need the setting
LAN players may edit settings (off by default). - Dedicated server: Required OP level to edit server settings runs from 0 to 5. The default
is 5, which means nobody gets in through their OP level. - Lists:
whitelistmay always edit,blacklistnever may, andeditors(administrators)
may change everything, including the permissions themselves. They are managed with/trc <list> add|remove|list <player>.
A fresh server has no administrators. Add yourself from the console withtrc editors add <player>.
Careful: if you raise the required level above your own, you cannot lower it again in game.
Chat & files
Changes are announced in chat to everyone they concern. The client setting
Settings changes in chat filters these messages: all / none / command only (default) / ui only.
All files are in config/trc-settings/ and are only read at startup. Edit them by hand only
while the game or server is stopped, because changes made while it runs get overwritten. The
server log records every change, including the values of hidden settings.
