About this project

What does Goblin's Tyranny add?

Geckolib

Banner
Goblin's Tyranny adds a species of RPG Fantasy Inspired Goblins Minecraft.
Goblins are new mobs that are found across the overworld in Goblin Villages and some other isolated Structures.
Most Goblins are hostile to players, unless they disguise themselves as Goblins (Read the "Gameplay" section), though some Goblins are willing to interact with even undisguised players such as the Bartender and the Goblin Trader for precious mushrooms.

You can put Goblin's Tyranny in your modpack.

New Update

Spoiler

Wanderer

The wanderer goblin can be found everywhere in the overworld.
He is not aggressive and you can give him gold coins (found in goblin structures) in exchange for valuable items including the decoy.
Decoy
The decoy can only be obtained when trading with the wanderer goblin. When you throw it, a decoy will appear and force everyone around to attack it.

Structures

Spoiler

The goblin village can be found in the plains, it is not common to find one but many surprises await you inside.

Village

Structures in the village

The village is entirely randomly generated, whether it is the buildings, decorations or the central square, the villages will all be different from each other.
You can find more common small structures almost everywhere, whether they are small camps, watchtowers or even a merchant caravan.

Small structures

Mobs

Spoiler

Mini Gobs

Mini Gobs are the most common and basic goblins. They are small enough to sneak around and can quickly become chaotic when in groups. You can sometimes get their loincloth if you're feeling like a collector.

Mini Gobs (Drunk)

Drunk Mini Gobs will always be found in the tavern relaxing, they don't want to fight unless you start attacking them. The goblin liquor has made them more resistant and stronger, be careful not to attack them otherwise they will attack you all at the same time.
The bard peacefully plays music upstairs in the tavern, boosting the surrounding goblins who listen to his music. He won't attack you but will push you away if you get too close.
You may be able to get one of his music discs
by killing him.

Bartender

The bartender will always be there to welcome you to her tavern. You can buy her all kinds of liquor, useful for a good evening or make explosives.

Spoiler

Bartender GUI

Merchant

You will always find the merchant in his caravan, almost anywhere in the world. He will sell some goblin things like a bag of bombs, engineer scrap and some random hide.
Maybe there is a way to get his beautiful hat?

Spoiler

Merchant GUI

Blacksmith

The blacksmith is very useful for making an ingot that only goblins know how to make. This goblin ingot will allow you to repair goblin weapons and upgrade a precious armor.

Spoiler

Blacksmith GUI

If you don't want the custom GUI, you can enable the gamerule "vanillaGUI" (still wip)

Blacksmith vanilla GUI

Warriors

The warriors are fierce goblins who defend their village at all costs, blocking your attacks before launching their offensive.
With luck you may be able to get their weapons
by killing them.

Hunters

The hunters are very primitive and will chase you from the village from a distance by shooting with a bow.
You can get some hide by killing them.

Engineer

Unlike hunters, the engineer want to advance the village's technology. He try some experiments with explosives, regularly injuring himself and his allies, which is why he created a healing drone.
You can get bombs, some engineer scrap and a bomb bag by killing him.

Engineeress

The engineeress doesn't really like going into battle and prefers to send her creations : small explosive goblin toys.
You can get some engineer scrap and her hammer by killing her.

Shaman

The shaman masters a few spells that will make you flee as far as possible or, on the contrary, make him your priority target. He can heal his allies, set you on fire and create a poisonous cloud.
You can get his skull by "killing" him.

Glitteron

A Glitteron is delicious to a goblin, but a goblin is delicious to a Glitteron. This endless circle allows you to tame the Glitteron by feeding it goblin meat.
This faithful pet will fetch items and arrows from afar to bring them back to you.

Chubby Glitteron

What's better than a Glitteron, if not a chubby Glitteron? You can't tame it but it will be a useful mount, taking no fall damage and with thick armor, it will resist all your travels and will allow you to store a large quantity of items in its inventory.

Gameplay

Spoiler

Disguise

Goblin's disguise
The goblin's disguise is a new potion effect that can be used to enter goblin villages peacefully, some goblins will be suspicious but no one will attack you because you will be considered a goblin.
This effect can be obtained by equipping fake goblin ears, or with goblin liquor, however the liquor only gives you a temporary effect.

Sleeping

Sleeping

Almost all goblins need to sleep at night. They therefore return to their spawn point and sleep until morning (or until they are disturbed in their sleep).
At night, you can therefore discreetly infiltrate the village to grab the loot, as long as you don't get too close to a sleeping goblin of course.
Beware of the shaman who never sleeps, just like the goblins in the tavern.

Items

Spoiler

Skybound

Skybound armor is as durable as netherite armor but with the advantage of combining elytra and jetpack, allowing you to boost in the air/on the ground and take no fall damage if you are sneaking when falling.

(you'll need to set your keybind)

Droblin

The droblin is a small drone that is capable of shooting a small projectile to heal you if you're low on life.

Hammer

The engineer's hammer is equivalent to an iron pickaxe, but also used for combat, it allows you to summon the engineeress's robot.
You can upgrade the hammer with a goblin ingot at the smithing table.

Robot

And a lot more to discover in game !

Blocks

Spoiler

Workbench

The engineers' workbench will allow you to craft the bombs and the drone, if you have the ingredients. You can find the workbench in all goblin villages.

Spoiler

Workbench GUI

Barrels

Trapped barrels are found everywhere in goblin villages and structures. If you accidentally open them, a Mini Gob will come out.

Spoiler

Trapped Barrels

Blazing barrels can be crafted or found in goblin villages and structures. When you fire a projectile at them, they explode, igniting everything around them.

Spoiler
