About this project

What does Endless Biomes add?

This is a Vanilla+ mod for the End modelled around the Nether update, adding biomes, structures and a whole bunch of miscellaneous features to the End; biome blobs spawn with large empty spaces between them so the dimension is still mostly dead with the occasional vibrant flare.

The Penumbral Forest is a lavender coloured biome full of the tallest trees in the game and is themed around resistance/strength. Everything from the leaves to the moss to the wood is tougher than normal; if you plan on getting of the wood from these tall forests, you'll need an axe to mine it, in fact it is also often quicker to strip the tough outer layer of the stem blocks and then mine it to get the wood. Some of the leaves glow, break them to get endurians which give short bursts of resistance when eaten.

A lot of people like the idea of an upside down biome in the End but to me upside down isn't enough, the twisted reef has plants which grow in every direction. The Twisted Reef is an ender-pearl-coloured biome themed around teleportation with big floaty cubes made of coral that go all the way to y = 255; the higher you climb in the biome, the more likely you'll find riftite crystals and shiftling mobs.

The Arkan Bungles is a biome inspired by Australia's Purnululu national park with iceburg-esque "bungles" made of arkan (a new secondary stone block found commonly in the End). This biome is themed around radioactivity (weird I know) and across the central belts of the bungles, you'll find bright pink radon blocks which damage you as you get close. They damage you more the closer you are but thankfully, all arkan derived blocks will block the radiation, more specifically there has to be a straight line of sight between the centre of the player and the centre of the radon block for it to damage you.

Rarely throughout the End you'll find numerous other structures including Arkan Ruins (small structures with occasional loot) and the Bulwark (a larger dungeon with unique mobs and loot).

The Overworld has villagers, the Nether has piglins and now the End has it own unique trading system too: Ruinous Altars. Rather than trading items, you 'sacrifice' yourself to a Ruinous Altar which spawn on various 'podiums' throughout the End. After sacrificing yourself, you get one of six special debuffs (for 15 to 30 minutes) called hexes and some unique items in exchange, this (can) include a new weapon, armour piece and enchantment. Hexes can't be fully removed with milk, instead drinking it will half the remaining time of the effect. This is important as you cannot sacrifice yourself while you still have a hex; transporting a cow to the End could be a good idea for this very reason but just exploring the dimension and being able to get some items every so often is also not a bad idea.

This mod was made with MCreator, using it mod packs is fine and credit would be nice if you do :)
