--- What This Mod Does ---

• Reduces the vanilla raft's speedMultiplier from the irresponsible 1.0 down to a monastic 0.8.
• Affects ALL vanilla wood rafts: oak, birch, maple, pine, acacia, aged, and yes, even the smug bamboo one. No raft is safe from enlightenment.
• Gives you more time per voyage to appreciate the horizon, question your route, and slowly accept that you should have built a boat.
  
  

--- What This Mod Does NOT Do ---

• It does not add barnacles. There are no barnacles. The barnacles are inside your heart.
• It does not touch the sailed boat, because that thing has a sail and clearly considers itself better than you.
• It does not affect Primitive Survival rafts or Shipwright vessels. They have their own opinions and their own config files. We do not negotiate with them.
• It does not make the raft "realistic." Rafts are already realistic. This is a documentary.

Q: Why would I want my raft to be slower?

A: Why would you want anything? Existence is a series of small decelerations. This mod merely honors that truth.

Q: Is 80% even noticeable?

A: Spiritually, immensely. Physically, it's a tasteful, gentle nerf. You'll feel it most when a crocodile is chasing you. Good luck.

Q: Can I change the value?

A: No. The number is 0.8. The number has always been 0.8. Do not question the number. (Okay, fine — it's one line in a JSON patch. You know what you're doing, you rebel.)

Q: Will this crash my server?

A: It's a single JSON patch that changes one number. If this crashes your server, you have bigger, more beautiful problems.

1. Drop the zip in your Mods folder.
